Department of Engineering & Computer Science
Civil Engineer ing Civil engineering is the oldest branch of the engineering profession. It is concerned with the design and construction of shelters and infrastructure and environmental systems that improve quality of life. Civil engineers design and supervise the construction of buildings from simple dwellings to skyscrapers, bridges, highways, ports, dams, water supply and treatment systems, landfills, flood control systems and much more. After some years experience, and after getting the professional license, civil engineers can start their own firm or company.
