Department of Business Disciplines The programs in the Department of Business Disciplines are designed to prepare graduates to meet the challenges of a fast-changing and increasingly global business environment. Each curriculum provides for a general understanding of our economic system and business environment while providing a sound foundation in the common body of business knowledge. Graduates will be prepared to apply their skills in order to contribute to their organizations and communities and to pursue further graduate work.

Specialized Courses: With expert professors specializing in a range of areas ? including human resources, industrial psychology, and organizational behavior ? students are exposed to a range of different managerial theories and methods in classes developed by McNeese faculty.
Also offered 100% online, the bachelor?s degree in management allows students the opportunity to pursue their degree without putting their lives on hold. Students can take advantage of the seven-week sessions offered twice during each fall and spring semester and six-week sessions held during the summer, all while accessing class information and assignments where and when are most convenient for their schedules.
Community Connections The McNeese chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) maintains an active relationship with the local Imperial Calcasieu SHRM chapter, which offers students a connection to established professionals that handle human resources in the five-parish area. This relationship provides students with leadership models, communication and support, as well as opportunities for collaboration on a variety of projects.
