How long have you been at Guthrie St Primary School for?
Since Year 4.
What do you love about being a student at Guthrie St?
Everybody is inclusive and teachers encourage you to try your best and they want you to participate, but if you’re too shy, or if you don’t want to, you don’t have to.
What’s your favourite memory from your time at Guthrie St Primary School?
We went to Melbourne for Year 6 camp, and we went to the Old Melbourne Goal, we got to learn about the history of the goal.
Then we basically went around Melbourne.
Do you hold any leadership roles within the school?
I’m a student voice leader.
It’s about the wellbeing of students and we (decide) that what we should do at Guthrie St.
What’s your favourite subject?
Writing.
What school are you going to next year?
All Saints Anglican College. What are you looking forward to the most about high school?
Meeting new people, and since All Saints opened up this year, there’s Prep to Year 7s (currently), and so I’ll be like the second oldest year level there, so I’ll grow with the school.
Marcus Domaille
Age: 12
Year level: Year 6
How long have you been at Guthrie St Primary School for?
Since Foundation.
What do you love about being a student at Guthrie St?
All the teachers are inclusive, but they’re not going to force you to do something that you don’t want to do.
And the roles that you get once you become like a leader, it’s a lot more inclusive because you get more roles and stuff to do (as you get older).
What’s your favourite memory about your time at the school?
Year 5 camp. We went to Phillip Island, and went to the beach.
On the way out, we got to go to the candy shop.
Do you hold any leadership roles within the school?
I’m a school leader.
Every Thursday, as much as we can, we have a meeting with all the voice leaders, house captains and school leaders, and we talk about the school.
What’s your favourite subject?
Maths.
What school are you going to next year?
Notre Dame Secondary College.
What are you looking forward to the most about high school?
Getting to see my friends that left last year.
We are very proud of our graduating class of 2024. We wish you all the best with your future pathways and look forward to hearing about the continued positive impacts you will have in our community. Congratulations!
It’s hard to believe we are in our third year on campus at Greater Shepparton Secondary College but as I reflect on these past years, I see what a vibrant and positive school culture we are building here at Hawdon St.
Each year we build on the success of the one just gone and carry on the legacies, traditions and initiatives of previous student leaders, such as the GSSC’s Got Talent competition, Spirit Week Year 12 dress-up days and our whole school Book Week activities.
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate and thank our 2024 Student Leadership team. Our Year 12 College and House Captains have represented us proudly both in and outside of the school.
Our student leaders have led the charge on many events including Harmony Day, Africa Week and NAIDOC Week and many whole-school assembles and community events such as Sorry Day and ANZAC Day. Thank-you for your passion and the enthusiasm you showed towards your roles and to ensuring student voice is always front and centre at our college.
At Greater Shepparton Secondary College our vision is to develop creative, curious and caring learners who actively contribute to making a better world. As I reflect on the year that has been, I see that together we achieve that every day.
- Executive Principal Barbara O’Brien
Reyhaneh Hosseini
The year has been full of great opportunities but I must admit, touring some of the politicians who visited our school was a highlight
Sabri Ibisi
Talking at assemblies was always fun but taking part in a Parliamentary Inquiry was an absolute highlight
Madeline Judd
Being able to organise GSSC’s got Talent was an amazing opportunity to showcase the exceptional talent at our school and I look forward to seeing the tradition live on
Joanna Muli
Representing and being a voice for all students
Bella O’Dwyer
Being the person that I wish I had during my high school years
Trinity Drain
My highlight was being able to engage with students from all year levels

s the school year comes to a close, it is with mixed emotions that I bid farewell to our remarkable Grade Six students. Graduation is a significant milestone, marking not just the end of an era but the beginning of a new adventure.
This year’s graduates have shown resilience, creativity, and an unwavering spirit that has inspired us all.
From their first steps in Prep to their final days in Grade Six, each student has grown not only academically but also personally, forming lasting friendships and memories that will carry them forward.
Everyone’s nice and friendly, and I get to spend time with my friend Fraser.
Do you hold any leadership roles within the school?
School vice-captain and student council member. I organise some of the sports days and out-of-uniform days.
What are your plans after school?
I’m going to work at PALS Op Shop in Numurkah.
What are you looking forward to about graduating?
It’ll be a fun night with my friends and family.
We are incredibly proud of what our students have accomplished. They have tackled challenges, celebrated victories, and learned the importance of kindness and teamwork. As they prepare to transition to secondary school, I encourage them to embrace new opportunities, pursue their passions, and continue to be the thoughtful leaders of tomorrow.
To the families and staff who have supported our students throughout this journey, thank you for your dedication and commitment. Your encouragement has played a vital role in shaping these young minds.
Congratulations, graduates! As you step into the next chapter of your educational journey, remember to believe in yourselves, strive for excellence and always let your light shine. I look forward to hearing about all the wonderful things you will achieve in the years to come.
Wishing you all the best and God Bless,

How long have you been a student at St Anne’s College for?
Since the opening in Year 7.
What do you love about being a student at St Anne’s?
That we saw not just our year level when moving through classes.
We saw everyone, so you got to say g’day to your friends when going to a different class.
What’s your favourite subject?
Art. I didn’t get to do it in Year 12 though.
What’s your favourite memory from your time at St Anne’s?
The school camps, going with friends and going horse riding.
What are your plans after high school?
I’m hoping to work in education support.
I’ve been doing a TAFE course last year and this year, and next year I’m hopefully going to work in a school somewhere around Shepparton.
What are you looking forward to about graduating?
The free time, not having to do any school work, and having more time to hang out with friends.
• Students to wear neat casual clothes. School wind-cheaters and T shirts available at no extra cost
• Strong commitment to education
• Pathways to further education
Our Year 6 students will be leaving at the end of the 2024 year and embarking on the next stage of their learning journey at secondary school next year. This is a time for celebration, re ection, hope and excitement.
May you continue to strive to be the best in everything you choose to do. I want to congratulate our Year 6 students on being exceptional role models, setting high standards for their peers across the school, caring for younger students, particularly their buddies and displaying strong community spirit. I’m sure you will take away with you many cherished memories and friendships of your time at Primary school. Good bye to our parents who will be leaving and a special thank you for your contribution and support at St Brendan’s
Good luck and every best wish for the future.

Matilda Jolly Age: 18
Year level: Year 12
How long have you been at ACE College for?
Since the start of Year 9, so 2021. What do you love about being a student at ACE College?
I love how supportive the teachers are and I love how they have strong connections to job pathways (through the) careers adviser because she has been helpful. I have really liked the smaller sized classes because you get to know everybody.
What’s your favourite memory from your time at ACE College?
I’ve liked the camps. Definitely the overseas trips I loved, I went twice to Vietnam and Cambodia, and it was really eye-opening.
What’s your favourite subject?
I’m doing my certificate three in early childhood at GOTAFE, and I have a traineeship which I gained from coming here with help from my careers adviser. I started off with two weeks work experience, and they loved me and wanted to keep me, and I got the traineeship.
What are you looking forward to about graduating?
I liked last year when we did industry tours with our careers adviser. (The subject) was called pathways. We did a tour of GOTAFE and went to the uni.
What are your plans after high school?
would like to congratulate the inaugural Year 12 class of 2024
As a college we are so proud of the incredible young adults these graduands have become. As the first Year 7 cohort in 2019 they have become wonderful ambassadors of the college demonstrating what it is to be a researcher, a thinker, a communicator, a collaborator and a self manager. We wish them all the very best for their future pathways - they will forever be the original alumni of St Anne’s College.
Feeling accomplished, because a few years ago, I wasn’t sure if I’d finish Year 11. I’m really looking forward to seeing what other people in my class achieve as well, and just like adult life and ... focusing on what I really love doing. We also have our last school trip to Tassie, for a graduation trip, so I’m really looking forward to that.
Congratulations to the Class of 2024 in the Goulburn Valley, who are about to graduate in both primary and secondary schools.
You are part of a group of students who have had experiences unlike any other and have proven you can thrive no matter what the circumstances.
Your preparation for these vital years is a testament to your resilience and determination and means you are in the best possible position for your next journey.
I am so proud of each and every one of you.
For those about to sit exams, I would like to say good luck, but I know that you will have done everything possible to be ready for this moment.
For those who have taken up a VCE Vocational Major pathway, the skills you’ve honed and the experience
you’ve gained in workshops, kitchens, classrooms and everywhere else will hold you in good stead as you enter the workforce or further training.
My enormous thanks to the many parents, carers, and school staff who have guided and continue to guide and encourage each and every one of you to do your best.
These have been unprecedented times for all of us, and your support has been integral to our students’ success.
So, whether you’re heading to high school, to further study, into the workforce, or perhaps even taking a gap year, you’ve earned it.
Education is a wonderful journey, and I hope you never stop learning. Look out, world, the Class of 2024 is coming.
