Busch liquid separators LSS (standard) and LSA (automatic) serve as protection from condensate and liquids on the suction side of vacuum pumps. These separators are fitted with a demister insert, above the place where the condensates and liquids are collected, which protects the separator from rough sources of contamination. The transparent vessel allows one to easily see the fill level at any time. The vacuum system must be stopped and aerated to empty the separator. Liquid separators LSS/LSA are used to also discharge accumulating liquids during vacuum generation so that the process does not need to be interrupted.
