KEYCLUB MCHS EXECUTIVE OFFICER DESCRIPTIONS Thank you for your interest in becoming an elected officer of Mt. Carmel Key Club’s 2013-2014 executive board! Please consider the below information carefully and pick a position that you feel would be best adapted to your capabilities. The following are responsibilities expected of all elected officers. -

chair volunteer events on a monthly basis and manage all contact and paperwork required for that event write and submit weekly articles (150 words per event attended) to the Bulletin Editor attend weekly club meetings on Wednesdays at lunch attend weekly officer meetings on Mondays after school, in J-2 assist with after school activities when requested attend monthly District Council Meetings and other special district events, including but not limited to: Officer Training Conference, Regional Training Conference, Fall Rally, District Convention communicate effectively with other officers both in person and through email participate in the planning process of club projects and events collaborate with other officers and work towards creating a stronger, unified club apply for associated end-of-the-year district award

The following are responsibilities expected from each individual elected position. Remember that these responsibilities are in addition to those listed above and represent the MINIMUM responsibilities each job holds. PRESIDENT - ensure overall club activities are running smoothly - lead weekly club and officer meetings, club OTC, etc. - create weekly agendas for officer meetings, officer guidebook for club OTC, and other necessary material - plan, in coordination with the division and district: OTC, RTC, Fall Rally, DCON, Banquet - arrange elections, officer appointments and all necessary application forms - oversee all events and delegate officer responsibilities - attend Kiwanis meetings when possible VICE PRESIDENT - assist President, Secretary, and Treasurer in any way possible - must be self-motivated and take the initiative to create club projects - attend Kiwanis meetings to help serve as club liaison - work towards main focus, as chosen by President (2013 – 2014: fundraising and member involvement) - take over and assist with any presidential responsibilities when needed - help with the planning process of DCON including registration forms, transportation, etc.


SECRETARY - be in charge of updating hours on a monthly basis - handle all registration forms/t-shirt orders at the beginning of the year, compiling and organizing them neatly - work with Treasurer to input all member information into Membership Update Center - submit Monthly Report Forms with attendance data, event descriptions, and more to Lieutenant Governor, advisors, and district - train assistant secretary - create weekly Wednesday meeting slips - with the help of the Assistant Secretary, keep track of meeting attendance and create meeting minutes TREASURER - help coordinate all fundraisers (including: Club Rush, bake sales, etc.) - work closely with finance office to process payment orders, reimbursements, and request checks - along with Secretary, input all member information into Membership Update Center - handle all registration money at the beginning of the year, organizing the sending of dues - train assistant treasurer - constantly update President and Faculty Advisor with financial account status - count and deposit money and accept a deposit check from Kiwanis
