The space and the orientation of the building is such that area is utilized in a controlled way, proper crowd management techniques and distribution of spaces according to the function of the structure is taken at most care of. The building houses adaptable facade skin to provide optimum sunlight as per the time of the day and daylight needed according to the different Equinoxes and Solstices of the Earth. The building counters the harsh south sun by forming a structural barrier, thus letting northern light or less harsh light like that of golden hour to fall to areas that are outdoor.

These highlights are a glimpse of the various key facilities and epilogue of the area. The amalgamation of various facilities like Bar/ Restaurant, Multipurpose hall, Responsive Facade and other facilities provide a luxurious as well as a curtail approach towards hospitality of the visitor and also play a crucial role in minimizing the commutative energy required to sustain the building.

The aim of the project was to create an Ayurvedic College and Hospital, with focus on traditional Indian methodology of self-healing through natural methods. Houses the central axial pattern, forming a hierarchy of the space and spreading across the distribution of the site, has facilities including auditorium, departmental area, residences, botanical garden, playgrounds and many other key facilities required as per the norms. The idea was to segregate noise level of the college away from the hospital and yet to provide a positive environment for recovery and rehabilitation of a patient, apart from optimizing the total heat gain, universal access systems and other key facilities implemented in design.

Spread across almost nine hectare of land, the central axis is divided symmetrically across the main peripheral road, consisting of separate parking spaces for college and hospital area, the whole site is divided into small individual zone on basis of their noise, usability and approach requirements. Some of the component it has includes the Administrative block, Residential facilities for Faculty, Departmental Area for studying, Library, Auditorium facility for in-house functions and other requirements needed, The main idea was to make sure that the travel distance is minimized and the site is approachable as per requirement of the individual person.

Housing key facilities, the Administrative area is at the helm of all official work and its designed in such a way to maximize efficiency and crowd management, The facility has thre e access area for public entrance and has a buffer zone to spread the crowd. Apart from the corinthian columns and raised plinth to signify strength and glory. Housing Facility provided to resident professors is also a critical aspect of planning, each unit has a two decimal five bhk residential area. The key strategy here was to keep in place the maximum daylight achievable and also provide an area much more than just an apartment to live in. ADMINISTRATIVE BLOCK

The lack of quality schooling facility is felt widely in the mountainous region of Leh, In northern most part of India. The absence of these spaces create a loose socio-economic condition and contributes to weakening of the lower and middle class people apart from other health risk it possesses. The Secondary School acts as a strong reagent in catalyzing and mounding the future and mental wellness of a student, since majority of the time is spent in school, the schooling condition shapes the health of the particular community as well.

DURATION:

DETAILS

The project focuses on how conventional design technique can be replaced with the use of machine learning algorithm. The particular Canopy is purely design by the machine with almost zero intervention of human, The sole purpose was to take a reference two dimensional image and then use machine learning algorithm to produce a three dimensional model, with varying capability of design.

RESEARCH PROJECT

The Design focuses on developing a canopy based on human Vein Pattern. We chose the human vein design, cause that is the simple yet most complex thing ,nature gave it to us and if we could analysing that and further using it to make a stable structure , this is what I was looking forward to and we achieved using the algorithm. Human veins are very complex and they are something so optimised in there own way that they dont need any further correction by a human. So the Design replicates the very foundation of the interconnection between the human vein and how it encounters the stability issue.

INFRARED SPECTRUM IMAGE OF HUMAN VEIN

The design evolves on eight different stages, STEP 1: The algorithm first takes the above image of six different types of nerves in human body and then runs a check on what images to combine it to, which will later be a basis of the three dimentional model it will generate. STEP 2:Then it starts locating different points in three dimention space. STEP 3:Further it starts interpreting the image and starts to form lines. STEP 4:Lines combines in two dimentional space to form a surface. STEP 5: Different surface points are then connected with each other to forms a solid mesh. STEP 6: Then the algorithm figures out how to make variability in design. STEP 7: Algorithm stores different types of permutation and combination occuring in design and just by a change of slider, gets projected on to the dashboard of the user. STEP 8:Finally it runs a check for all the unconnected spaces and bad meshes it has and tries to eliminate it.

The above view shows the design of canopy as seen by a human eye. It works by optimising the use of sunlight and sun-shading techniques and uses it in a balanced way, reducing cost of ceiling and also not compromising on the aspect of sunlight received. The Canopy of the design was made using Rhino, Grasshopper and python as a baseline software. The further codes uses the machine learning algorithm and libraries that gets inside the python. On the extreme left is the python code of algorithm with the grasshopper script used in the project.

RESEARCH PROJECT

CONCLUSION In conclusion we achieved a design completely made by a machine and that could change shape and give a various choices of design as needed by the user. Further we were able to control the overall aspect of three dimensional shape of the model just by changing the input image we provided and this reduced significant amount of time from thinking to designing. We were also able to control various parameters of climatology like sun-shading and ventilation and were able to optimise the cost of the installation at same time. Hence we were able to analyse all the parameter and make a canopy that was stable enough and is well versed in all aspect completely made by a machine thinking and building itself.

DETAILS

These are collection of some of the works done by me in real life involving projects from real construction work on ground, to interactive lobby design for a global event. The wholesome approach gave an edge on how construction is done on site and provided me with opportunity to realize the huge difference of working on sheet and site.

LIVE PROJECTS

Project is based out in outskirts of Chandigarh, India. The requirement was to provide a 3 bhk house with responsive climatic condition design in place to reduce the carbon footprint of the house, so conventional type of cooling method is used and Neo-Classical architecture method is used for facades.

LIVE PROJECTS

The Goal of this project was to achieve a interactive platform for user in lobby for a virtual conference held during the starting days of the pandemic. The lobby served as a buffer zone for linking various other zones like Exhibition and Auditorium area where people could easily navigate to as they do in real life. I learned that skills learned in my Architecture profession transcends disciplines.

LIVE PROJECTS

It’s a undergoing project consisting of helical dome structure . The main idea behind the project was to make a goto place for people away from hustle and buzz of the city life and live with nature, the whole project consist of interconnected 60 similar building arrangement to make a wholesome community in the outskirts of Pune, India.
