PARKS GETTING MASSIVE IMPROVEMENTS

Alabaster held two groundbreaking ceremonies celebrating the expansion of two city parks: Veteran’s Park off of Hwy 119 and Abby Wooley Park located off of Hwy 11.

Veteran’s Park is seeing a new entrance way built, five more athletic fields and improved traffic flow and control. This expansion has been in the works for over two years. The total cost will be divided between the city and county.

Abby Wooley Park is getting the largest investment in the park's history. It will include renovation and the expansion of the basketball court, increasing length of the walking paths, upgraded playground equipment, a new restroom facility and upgrades to the pavilion.
