Crankworx Rotorua will host a live international broadcast of the RockShox Taniwha Downhill race in Rotorua on March 19th, with a stacked field of elite riders competing against local heroes. Admission is free. The event will also feature five days of amateur and elite events, expos, and entertainment at Skyline Rotorua from March 22nd to 26th. Whakatāne's Local Wild Food Festival is back in 2023, bigger and better than before.

Located at Ōhope’s new hotspot –Wharfside, the weekend features Wild Food Gathering by the Wharf on Friday evening, followed by the festival and cooking challenge on Saturday.
