Collaboration is key

Kia ora koutou, There’s a lot happening in Rotorua right now and we are very much open for business.

Our district is the perfect place for a winter getaway so we hope you’ll come and check us out. You can enjoy our wonderful outdoors and the many activities and attractions we have here, and winter is the best time of year to enjoy our geothermal pools and spa offerings. In future you’ll have even more choice with a new spa/ hotel and a new version of our world-famous QE Health Wellness and Spa complex being developed – both at our city lakefront which is undergoing its own major revamp. In the face of the pandemic’s profound impact, our council decided to not retrench but to back our community, and invest in creating a positive future for our district. Work to tackle issues like our housing challenge continues in collaboration with Te Arawa, central government agencies and others. Partnerships remain key to achieving the positive outcomes we need for our community and we have adopted a long-term plan that is focused on action. In uncertain times we need bold leadership. In Rotorua

we are confronting our challenges to ensure our district can thrive, not just survive. Kia kaha,

Steve Chadwick

MAYOR, ROTORUA
