Group CFO Hamat Holding Hamat Holding, a key player in the field of Commercial Centres’ development, management, and operation, announces the pre-opening activities of its two latest commercial centres in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, “The Park “in Taif & “The Village” in Jeddah.
Pre-opening marketing campaigns have been launched to reveal the opening of these two projects which will happen very soon. It is worth mentioning here that the pre-opening marketing campaign is a marketing strategy that is used to promote the opening of new projects. This campaign usually takes place before the project is officially opened to the public. It is a way for the developers to create awareness and generate hype about their project to attract more customers at the time of opening.
In fact, both pre-opening marketing campaigns were performed in order to motivate people and get them excited about the two malls’ opening. We can see that Hamat, the operator company of these two projects, is trying to create hype by allowing their customers to experience what they will be doing when they open. They are also trying to make it feel more personal by having a carnival-like atmosphere in both malls. It is believed that these two preopening campaigns will be able to attract more visitors and customers before the malls open.
“The Carnival” was performed in Taif from July 1st to Sep 1st 2022. The main objective of this event was to generate awareness, excitement, and anticipation by providing an unforgettable experience for the “The Park” visitors as Al-Taif province lacked such entertainment options. To successfully achieve this goal, the mall has developed a multi-dimensional, dynamic marketing campaign that encompasses high-frequency advertising, public relations, strategic partnerships, special events, and social media marketing.

“The Park” is the most iconic mall in Taif and it is the biggest shopping destination. It is located in a very strategic area near Taif Airport. “The Park” Mall comes as a result of Hamat’s strategy to create social and entertainment environments which were directly reflected in the concept of this project featuring a diverse mix of over 165 stores in an area of 35,500 sqm. It includes department stores, fashion, and lifestyle. It also has sports, electronics, home furnishing, and a giant hypermarket in the city. Visitors will find offerings for every taste and budget, from luxury to their favourite national and international brand retailers. The mall is the perfect destination for families. It offers a theme park and fun attractions such as cinemas and playing areas. On the other hand, “The Village” pre-opening campaign was performed in association with the “Jeddah Season” event from May 2nd to 30 June 2022. This event saw more than six million domestic and international tourists, representing 129 countries featured firework displays, every night, at the Jeddah Art Promenade, mind-blowing K-Pop performances, a science festival, that allows people to enjoy a variety of entertainment and experiences such as live shows, cultural shows, horror house, and also kids playground.
“The Village” Mall, owned and managed by Hamat Holding, is a new and prominent modern project, a lifestyle urban regional Mall with an indoor and outdoor retail offering, leisure and entertainment. With a total area of 208K sqm serving more than 3 Million population (50% are an expat). The Project has a prime location on the Red Sea, where very ambitious mega projects are being developed such as The Red Sea project, King Abdullah Economic City, and Rabig City, showing the kingdom’s geographic wealth, cultural heritage and hospitality, economic ambitions and aspirations for environmental conservation. The mall is located in the new downtown, the north of Jeddah, with a variety of uses including a boulevard area with more than 40 restaurants and F&B choices. Taking into account the requirements of modern life and the privacy of the Saudi community in addition to the integrated investment benefit from the project. The project contains the biggest cinema in the province with 14 Cinema Theaters, the first “Hasbro” in KSA & the third “Brass-Monkey” in the world after London & Dubai. Hamat Holding, nevertheless, has recently signed the partnership agreement for the Masar Mall which involves Umm Al-Qura for Development and Construction Company, and Hamat Holding. The project is set to be completed in 2026 with an investment volume of SR2.7 billion ($719 million). The mall will be developed over a 71,000-square-meter area and will provide more than 130,000 square meters of shopping space.
