ince 1976 Cinema Vehicle Services has been the major supplier of on-camera vehicles for both motion pictures and television. Some of its earliest projects include such television series as The Fall Guy, A Team and The Dukes of Hazzard. Some of Cinema’s early feature films include Die Hard, Terminator and Lethal Weapon to recent projects like The Hangover, G I Joe, Knight Rider and My Name is Earl. Cinema Vehicle Services specializes in custom build to order vehicles. One of the most recognizable we believe, is “Eleanor” from the 2000 remake of Gone in 60 Seconds. The 1967 Mustang depicted in the movie became and still is an iconic movie car. Cinema Vehicle Services is offering a select group of both its “On Camera” used vehicles as well as its “Private Collection”. They have never offered this broad of a selection before. Some of the collection cars have been owned for over 25 years.
Mecum Auction is pleased to offer this unique collection at Dana Mecum’s Original Spring Classic Auction - 23rd Year at the Indianapolis Fairgrounds May 19-23, 2010.

327/350 HP, 4-Speed
Built to compete with the Ford Falcon and Plymouth Valiant for a new generation
of youthful buyers, the Chevy Nova still enjoys a world-wide following. Perhaps the largest and most active Nova enthusiast organization is National Nostalgic Nova, home to lovers of 1962 to 1979 Chevy IIs, Novas and Acadians. The car offered here is a star with a unique history in that community, whose members know it as “Giveaway Car Number 2”. An extremely rare L79 327/350 HP 4-Speed, this 1966 Nova SS was the Grand Prize in a drawing held to celebrate NNN’s 10th anniversary in 1995. The Tuxedo Black beauty is a full-fledged SS model, with all the equipment offered in Chevy’s best package: special interior and exterior trim and wheel covers, Super Sport fender scripts, SS badges front and rear, bucket seats, special instrumentation, console shifter and deluxe steering wheel. But this car has more, in the form
of the most powerful non-fuel-injected smallblock in the Chevrolet lineup, the L79 327/350 HP V-8. The exclusive dual-snorkel chrome air cleaner tops off an aluminum intake fitted with a Holley 4-barrel and is flanked by chromed Turbo-fire valve covers. A special solid-lifter cam, high-flow heads and 11:1 compression complete this free-revving smallblock engine. All that power is accompanied by surprising elegance. The Black finish is absolutely mirror-like and beautifully adorned by tasteful chrome and brightwork that extends to the brilliant wire wheel covers. The Black interior is likewise handsome and well accented. Beyond the car’s power and appearance, there is in addition the fact that its original equipment includes factory-installed Delco air conditioning and tinted glass to add comfort to the driving experience.
By the time this car was awarded to Marti Wihksne of Kamloops, British Columbia in 1995, it was already considered one of the best L79 Novas in existence, having earned numerous awards. It had been so skillfully restored by NNN club member Pete Perry of Texas that in 1988 it won three prizes at the Denver Nova Nationals West, including Best Restored. In 1989, it returned from the Louisville Nationals with five titles, and in 1991 repeated with another three honors at the New York event. Texan Steve Mauer, who purchased the Nova from Perry, performed a meticulous renewal, detailing the underside, installing fresh stainless steel exhaust and recreating every tag and inspection mark called for by his extensive research. So thorough was the work that in 1993 the little Chevy was the subject of a magazine article titled “Tagging the Chevy II According to the Broadcast Sheet. Multiple national prizes, original matching numbers engine and a rare and comprehensive option array combine for one of the most elegant and powerful cars ever to earn the SS designation.
Highlights: - Factory air - L79 327/350 HP - Original engine and block - 4-speed manual transmission - Rare factory air conditioning - Correct Tuxedo Black finish - Wire wheel covers - All correct tags, matching numbers verified by Wayne Bushey - 1st Place, Nova Nationals Denver - 1st Place, Nova Nationals New York - Gold Certified, Nova Nationals Kentucky - Gold Certified, Nova Nationals Idaho - 1995 National Nostalgic Nova Giveaway Car - Restored by Pete Perry and Steven Mauer - Judging sheets - Giveaway promo brochure and certificates

One of the last of the big performance Mercurys,
the 1964 Super Marauder Coupe was the race version of the marauder line. While most were powered by Ford’s smooth 390 V-8, the Super Marauder packed the overwhelming wallop of a full-race R-code NASCAR-spec 427/425 HP with inline dual quad carburetion. This was Mercury at its best in 1964, with competition wins in NASCAR and in the stock car class at the grueling Pike’s Peak Hillclimb. Out of total production of 108,673 units, a total of only 42 R-codes were produced; only 9 were 2-door Park Lane Fastback models, and today only 3 are known to exist. LOT T260 1965 Mercedes-Benz 220SE Convertible Automatic
Car lovers who saw the hit movie The Hangover collectively cringed as a beautiful
vintage Mercedes-Benz Cabriolet was subjected to an endless stream of abuses by various characters, including Mike Tyson’s pet tiger! The makers of this summer comedy hit went through four virtually identical models of the car to portray the lurid destruction of this classic beauty. Collectors may take solace, however, because the car offered here is one of two built for the movie and designated as “Beauty Cars” and, while it suffered none of the indignities of its less fortunate fellow actors, it does enjoy the distinction of having taken Mike Tyson’s pet tiger for a ride!
Highlights - One of four Mercedes Benz Cabriolets built and prepared to match for the blockbuster buddy comedy “The Hangover” - One of two “Beauty Cars” built for filming scenes depicting the car in “pre-damage” condition - Two other Mercedes were used for the stunt and crash scenes
