Goro Mitchel Edged Out As Martha Stryker Leads The Pack To Join Father On The East Palo Alto Sanitary District

Ms. Stryker, born and raised in East Palo Alto and a teacher at Beechwood School was the highest vote-getter in all 14 precincts including the district’s precinct located in the Willows neighborhood in Menlo Park.

Incumbents Betsy Yanez and Glenda Savage came in second and third respectively. Incumbent Goro Mitchell came in a close fourth, and therefore lost his seat.

Edrick Haggans who had served on the board previously and who has made several unsuccessful attempts to rejoin the board had the least votes.

Mark Dinan, who received a frontpage treatment with his allegations about inappropriate expenditures and the supposedly anti-development actions of the current sanitary district was second to last.
