Mayview Community Health Center

MayView Community Health Center (MCHC) was founded in Palo Alto in July of 1972. Initially called Our Health Center inc. and part of the Free Clinic tradition with the goal from the very start to provide free health care to everyone. At its inception however, its initial purpose was to provide health care primarily to young underserved women in Silicon Valley.

It later changed its name to Mayview Clinic expanding its services to include all low-income individuals. The original clinic is still located at the Palo Alto Courthouse.

MayField Clinic merged with the the Mountain View Clinic to form MayView

Community Health Center and later a third MayView clinic was opened in Sunnyvale as part of the Columbia Neighborhood Center.

MCHC eventually expanded its services to include pre/post-natal and pediatric care.

MayView has developed strategic partnerships with El Camino Hospital, El Camino Healthcare District, Stanford Healthcare and the County of Santa Clara with each partner augmenting the Center’s myriad of health services or funding specific programs or projects.
