MESSAGE FROM THE DEAN

MESSAGE FROM THE DEAN

Michael Waterstone,

Fritz B. Burns Dean, Loyola Law School Senior Vice President, Loyola Marymount University

Dear LMU Loyola Law School Alumni and Friends,

How wonderful it is to look through all the support listed in these pages. I am thankful and humbled by the sheer volume of those who made a gift – our cherished alumni, our partners in the business community, friends of the school, parents, and even current students. All of them have something important in common: they made a decision to invest in the law school, to propel us forward, to further our mission of the promotion of justice, and to support the education of the next generation of Loyola lawyers.

Your investment in the law school and our students is a sound one, and the dividends are apparent in every corner of what we do. We see it in our amazing incoming class. We see it in our graduates’ bar passage rate and in the employment they are securing after graduation. Our legal clinics are known across the city, state, and country for changing people’s lives while providing our students with amazing real-world educational opportunities.

We continue to push the cutting edge of how technology can transform and enhance the law school experience, and we are poised to redefine the future of legal education with our hybrid JD program. As proud as I am of what we have accomplished, I am even more excited about our trajectory as we continue to advance. Your support makes that trajectory possible.

Your gifts make a difference in the lives of our students, the clients they serve through the Loyola Social Justice Clinic, and the financial health of the law school. We deeply appreciate every gift received and celebrate the community of donors who invest in Loyola, its mission, and our students. I am proud of our development, and I am grateful for your support.

Sincerely,

Michael Waterstone Fritz B. Burns Dean, Loyola Law School Senior Vice President, Loyola Marymount University
