It became immediately apparent that there was going to be significant demand for quality properties as we emerged from the initial lockdown in May of last year and that demand remains today exacerbated by buyers wanting to take advantage of the Stamp Duty holiday, which is scheduled to end on the 31 March this year. Many forecasts are pointing to a general softening of the UK housing market from April this year as they perceive the removal of this financial incentive as a demotivating factor for buyers. We must consider however, that these forecasts are for the UK housing market as a whole and do not take into account regional variations and markets that were strong prior to
