DIGITAL CINEMA TRENDS IN NORWAY Media Desks 8th November 2011
Norway is the first European Territory to move to 100% (almost) Digital Cinema • It is too early to measure the precise effects of this change • But we can have a look at the trends • Data is based on applications to the MEDIA Programme Cinema Schemes for the period 2006 -2011
*Bear in Mind* Distributors are always optimistic Actual print numbers and investment will be lower‌. Actual results will take some time to compile but we can see the trends as there is the same bias in the 2006 numbers as the 2011 numbers i.e. all are application numbers. A limited number of budgets corresponding to all of the applications for one single print and 50+ print campaigns have been removed from the sample to avoid distortion (year on year)
