Reducing our emissions… From January 2010 to December 2010, Johnsons Apparelmaster reduced its carbon emissions to 2403,65 kWh/tonnes, achieving a positive carbon surplus of 511 CO2e tonnes… that’s equivalent to 43 Double Decker Buses or more than 1 Boeing 747 Continental airplane in weight!

Responsibility to the environment

We understand the needs of the Food Industry and operate rigorous process controls with HACCP procedures.

We invested ÂŁ6 million in a state-of-the-art workwear laundry at Logix Park in the Midlands, making it amongst the best of its kind anywhere in Europe. In 2014 we invested a further ÂŁ9 million on a new plant in Leeds.

New initiatives and practices are being rolled out across our nationwide laundries to reduce carbon emissions from electricity, gas and solid fuel.

Our food hygiene plants operate to the Gold Standard hygiene code of practice. These unique codes have been specifically developed to meet the stringent demands of the food industry. All systems and processes comply to BS EN 14065.

With our Code of Conduct we are committed to only using suppliers that adopt similar awareness of environmental and ethical issues... helping to comply with our customers own environmental policies and procedures.

Workwear is delivered and placed within each individual locker saving you time and money and ensuring clean, hygienic workwear is always available for your employees.

Garment collectors are fitted next to lockers to ensure the tidy and secure collection of soiled garments, which are collected by Johnsons Apparelmaster route personnel ready for cleaning.

Collected garments are industrially cleaned in one of our nationwide laundries, folded and delivered back to your premises. Our route personnel will then distribute your garments back into individual lockers ready for your employees.
