Morn’ton charges
■ Mornington Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested three teenagers following multiple aggravated burglaries in Mornington between June 8-9.
I is alleged an offender entered a property on Nunns Rd, Mornington and stole personal items about 2am on June 8.
It is also alleged the offenders reattended the Nunns Rd address where an elderly female occupant was confronted and assaulted by one of the offenders before stealing her Hyundai i30 just after 11.30pm on June 8.
It is alleged the same offenders then entered a property on Nelson St, Mornington just after midnight on June 9 where a grey Toyota Hilux and a white 2008 Mazda BT50 utility were stolen.
The stolen Hyundai, Mazda and Toyota have all been recovered undamaged by Police in the Mornington area.
A 15-year-old McCrae boy has been released pending further enquiries
A 15-year-old Mornington boy has been charged with aggravated burglary, theft of motor vehicle, theft, commit Indictable offence on bail and has been remanded to face a children’s court at a later date.

One Tree per Child is an interna tional initiative established by the co-founders of National Tree Day (Jon Dee and Olivia Newton John) which aims to get every child to plant at least one tree before they leave school. Since One Tree Per Child was launched, participating Australian councils and community groups have planted trees and shrubs in the hundreds of thousands. The soft launch event at Somerfield Reserve was attended by Traditional Custodians and representatives for the Bunurong Land Council Aboriginal Corporation, Jillian West and Joshua West, Mayor Cr Eden Foster, Cr Rhonda Garad and Junior Mayor Tasneem. Students enjoyed learning about local flora and fauna as well as getting their hands dirty planting 300 indigenous trees and shrubs at the reserve.
