TEXAS GUARD Meet the Future Leaders of the Texas Army National Guard Pictured below (top photo) is the Texas Army National Guard Officer Candidate School graduating Class # 65 who received their commission on Saturday April 9, 2022, at the Texas State Capital House Chamber. Pictured below (bottom photo) is the Warrant Officer Candidate graduating class who received their commission on Saturday, April 16, 2022. Graduating Officers held up their right hand and took the official oath of office before being presented both their certificate and having family or friends pin on their rank. We look forward to these newly commissioned officers doing great things in the future. H

Texas State Guard In a unique Change of Command Ceremony, atop a rappelling tower, LTC James Donaghue assumed command of the Texas State Guard’s 4th Battalion from LTC Troy Neasbitt, with BG Robert Hasting, Commander of the Texas State Guard’s 1st Brigade presiding. H
Lt Col Kelly Bean Lt Col Kelly Bean, 147th Force Support Squadron (FSS) commander, is the recipient of the 2022 Brigadier General Wilma Vaught Visionary Leadership Award for her exceptional work and dedication to cultivating an inclusive culture and recognizing the talents all airmen bring to the Air Force. The Brig. Gen. Wilma Vaught Award — named after the most decorated female officer in the Air Force — was created in 2012 to honor service members and civilians who demonstrate visionary leadership, innovation and commitment to inspiring and improving opportunities for women in the Air Force.
