Relaxing in cottage country on a hot summer day. Being from Ontario, we have come to appreciate our abundance of lakes and the cottage culture that comes with it. We love spending a weekend lazing on the dock, cooling off in the water, and if we’re lucky, taking a boat ride at sunset.

Get That Summer Feeling All Year Round at Kawartha Dairy

It’s true that ice cream is typically associated with the joys of summertime, but a favourite Ontario ice creamery encourages Canadians to stop by their stores for a sweet treat all year round.

At Kawartha Dairy, there are many awesome family memories to be made this autumn and winter. With over 50 rich and creamy flavours to choose from (including beloved Moose Tracks, Death by Chocolate, and French Vanilla), it’s easy to find something for everyone. All their products are made with fresh milk and cream delivered daily from close-by dairy farmers. Typically, it’s turned into ice cream within a day of arriving from the farm, which is why everything tastes so fresh.

Plus, they've got flavours inspired by the changing seasons. A new flavour just launched, grab a delicious scoop of Spiced Apple ripple, inspired by the fall classic Apple Pie. Pumpkin Pie has also returned as a treasured holiday treat.

Taste the difference

For over 85 years, Kawartha Dairy has been making ice cream the traditional way. Their headquarters remain in Bobcaygeon, Ontario, where it was founded by Jack and Ila Crowe in 1937. Even through years of tremendous growth, it’s still a Canadian family-run company that has stayed true to its roots. They’re proud to offer incredibly fresh premium quality ice cream and dairy products that are made right in the province from start to finish.

The dairy has opened three new stores in the past year, including one in central Burlington. Another recently opened in Cobourg, just south of Peterborough. The third has just opened, on the Danforth, in the heart of Toronto. Visit these new spots or any of their other 10 stores across Ontario. Favourite flavours are also available at most major grocers and scoop partners. Ring in the autumn weather with these season flavours and make great family memories this fall and winter.
