Description π†πžπ§ππžπ« 𝐠𝐚𝐩𝐬 - discrimination based on gender, other personal characteristics and identities. π…πžπ¦πšπ₯𝐞 artists and cultural professionals typically have - less access to creation and production resources, - are paid much less than men - are underrepresented in leadership and other decision-making positions. Women are frequently victims of sexism, gender stereotypes and sexual harassment.

Description Many workplaces don’t offer men extended parental leave or flexible hours. They are less likely to seek professional help or talk about their problems with friends or family. In some countries, gay and trans individuals can be fired from their job on the basis of their sexual orientation or gender identity. The lack of protections force individuals to remain in the closet, in order to earn a living.

Description Multiculturalism: The view that cultures, races, and ethnicities, particularly those of minority groups, deserve special acknowledgment of their differences within a dominant political culture.

Forms of multiculturalism Recognition of contributions to the cultural life of the political community as a whole Demand for special protection under the law for certain cultural groups Autonomous rights of governance for certain cultures (autonomy)

Description Many minority cultural groups have experienced exclusion or the denigration of their contributions and identities in the past. Multiculturalism seeks the inclusion of the views and contributions of diverse members of society while maintaining respect for their differences and withholding the demand for their assimilation into the dominant culture.
