Operating Manual
Assembling The assembling of the scale is easily done as all parts and components are pre-assembled during manufacturing: -
Put the base on the floor.
-
Make sure the column brackets are not bent, otherwise straighten them.
-
Slip the column into the brackets.
-
Keep the column upright to secure the smooth entering into the column brackets.
-
Connect the column and the column brackets by using two of the cross-slotted screws from the front side and four of them from the backside. Make sure the screws are pulled tight carefully.
-
Put the scale on the floor, column in horizontal position.
-
Lift up the lever system and push it.
-
Hook the transmission rod in the extension hole on top of the lever pushing it towards the column for easier insertion.
Attention: The transmission rod must move freely in the head. -
Fix the pair of wheels by using the attached 2 cross-slotted screws.
Assembling of the scale is completed. Attach the height rod: -
After having unpacked the height rod insert the 2 hex screws into the holes in front of the column. Tighten them carefully by using the wrench. Now place the two brackets of the height rod on the pre installed hex screws and pull them tight by using the wrench. Make sure not to over tighten them.
Take the scale to its working area and put it on an even ground in upright position.

Zero adjustment: Before first use of the scale and to make sure that the scale indicates the correct weight it has to be set to ZERO manually. -
First step on and off the scale for several times to make sure that all parts come back into the right position after transport.
-
For zero setting procedure the platform must remain empty.
-
Set both sliding weights on the beam (head part) into zero position.
-
The beam has to move freely equilibrating very close to even.
-
Turn the equilibrating screw slowly to the right respectively to the left to bring the beam into the exact even position
-
The scale is now ready to be used.
Attention: A periodically zero setting according to the previous instructions should be done. This applies especially if the scale is used in a different place, on a different surface. Weighing -
Step on the scale.
-
Slide the larger counterweight to the estimated weight.
-
Now use the small sliding weight to reach the correct result.
-
Wait until the beam comes close to a standstill in even position.
-
Even if the head is still moving you can read the correct result +- 100 g.
-
Total weight is the addition of both results (smaller and lager counterweight).
Measuring –
Before measuring make sure the measuring tongue is placed in a horizontal position and pull the height rod up.
–
Place the person on the scale and place the measuring tongue on top of the head.
–
If the person is shorter than 101.5 cm push the latch to the right and lower the measuring tongue until it reaches the person’s head.
–
The reading is done either on the inner or outer height rod.
–
If the measuring tongue itself points to the outer height rod the results may be taken directly.
–
If the measuring tongue points to the inner height rod the person’s height should be read from the top of the outer height rod. The word READ is helping you to find the right reading point.
–
Before to leave the scale hold the measuring tongue up and wait until the person left the platform.
–
Take the measuring tongue in a vertical position and put the height rod down if no measuring is required.
