MIRROR IMAGE A real enchanted musical

BOOK BY FLIP KOBLER AND CINDY MARCUS MUSIC BY DENNIS POORE LYRICS BY FLIP KOBLER

Fantasy comes face to face with the hard reality of high school in this pop musical adventure where the best — and worst! — of both worlds meet. In the fairy tale world, princes are charming and stepsisters are wicked. But the Woodsman dreams of being more than an incidental character without a name. He wants to be the hero. When Cinderella’s stepsisters find a portal to another world, they get zapped into a very real high school. The Woodsman jumps at the chance to rescue them, but the stepsisters have no intention of returning to the fantasy realm. After all, in the “real” world, mean girls are popular! The Woodsman finds himself in over his head and recruits the help of Danica, a hardcore realist who never believed in fairy tales. She’s running for class president, but her speeches are filled with gloom and doom. Meanwhile, the sky is falling in the fantasy world! Without the Woodsman, Little Red is attacked by the wolf and Sleeping Beauty keeps pricking her finger on the ax while chopping her own firewood! As reality seeps into the fairy tales, the characters start to break free of their patterns and the classic princesses cross the portal and discover they can be their own heroes! Instructors: Deborah Deans, ARCT in Speech and Drama. Local private speech arts instructor, director and actress, with many years of experience in community theatre, especially for children. Allison Kapcala, ARCT in Music. Local private piano instructor, experienced in musical theatre and productions for children. Course ID: SS 0100

Your Child’s Safety All Sport & Wellness Summer Camp Head Coaches are certified in First Aid and CPR to ensure a top quality experience for your child. During staff training, all emergency procedures for the College and camp are thoroughly reviewed. As well, the department conducts regular risk management audits on all camp equipment and polices. Procedures that include custody arrangements, child abuse, behavior modification, weather conditions, and the self-esteem of your child are covered in training. We also enforce strict sign-in and sign-out policies. Please note that campers 11 years of age and under cannot leave the care of an instructor until a parent/guardian signs that child out. A child 12 years and older may leave on their own. If you would prefer that your child who is 12 years or older remains in the care of the instructors until a parent/guardian arrives, please indicate this on the registration sheet or by calling 403.504.3546 in advance of the camp start date. What to Wear and Bring to Camp All children should wear comfortable clothes including shorts, t-shirt, and running shoes suitable for physical activity. For cool days, a sweatshirt. It is strongly recommended and enforced that children wear hats while outdoors to shade their heads from the sun and wear sunscreen.
