WELCOME TO AUTUMN AT THE LITTLE COUNTRY COTTAGE

Autumn is a very exciting season because it is harvest time! After all of our planning, planting, growing and tending, we can finally pick so many of the fruits and vegetables that we have been growing since spring.

This season, the animals scurry about, readying for winter, and so do we! Our baskets are filled with pumpkins and gourds. Wild mushrooms are foraged and fresh apples and pears are plucked from the trees. Seeds are saved for spring, and herbs are gathered and dried.

It’s a perfect time for craft projects and home baking and there are many fun ways to make the most of nature’s gifts during this season.
