Welcome
Welcome We’ve enjoyed an eventful 2012 and start to 2013 and there is still much to look forward to so now is the time to start planning Easter and spring activities. As usual The Brook and Central Theatres have an excellent line-up of music, comedy, dance, drama and children’s entertainment. There’s plenty on offer to help parents keep the children occupied during the Spring break with our Springboard and libraries activities plus a host of outdoor adventures. Some special events include the regular Dickens, English and Sweeps Festivals which celebrate local traditions as well as everything iconic and ironic about our great nation. We can also look forward to some fun by the water with the River Festival and of course, it's time to book our Castle Concerts tickets - from the Wanted to the Castle Proms or Status Quo to an 80s night there really is something for everyone. This spring/summer we are proud to host Medway’s Festival of Sport, including the Wheelchair Rugby League World Cup where the world's best teams will compete for the title. It is an honour for Medway to stage such a significant event and will no doubt reignite last year’s Olympic excitement.

There’s a mix of drama, dance, exhibitions, children’s workshops and more for you to see and take part in.
Richard Heeps has been photographing hot rods and Americana in the UK and the USA for over ten years. His images capture the vibrancy of contemporary scenes inspired by the 1940s and 1950s and pay tribute to midcentury modern life, as it is lived today. Heeps’ images capture the spirit and pursuit of the American dream – stylish, glamorous and hedonistic – his portraits capture those at odds with modernity and his landscapes and interiors preserve and celebrate places, where time has stood still and the wrecking ball is looming.
