IN THE SPOTLIGHT: COPPERSMITH PHOTOGRAPHY
Amy photographing Travis & Nicholas, the featured couple of this issue.
THE TALENTED MATT & AMY COPPERSMITH have been photographing couples for years, scoping out the best places in Minneapolis for that perfect shot. Photography has consistently been one of the more important items in planning a wedding and with the introduction of many new types of photographic technologies it does not change that fact. In this day and age with everyone having something in their hands that takes pictures it is even more important to make sure you truly understand what the wedding photography experience consists of.
SERVICE ASPECT
There are many amazing artists out there that pick up a camera and can take beautiful images. Digital tech18
nology has made it easier to acquire images and share with everyone you know almost instantly. Now as a couple how can you choose between a photographer based on their skill alone? To be honest you cannot. The wedding experience is not about the quality of images you will receive, it is about how you felt having your photographs taken. This is the service you will want to look at as much as how you like the images. To be a success we want you to enjoy your day without feeling like you are being rushed through it. We want the day to revolve around you and be a very easy going experience.
EXPERTISE
A wedding photographer should be able at that first meeting show you that they know what they are doing, not just show you beautiful images but represent the type of experience you will have on your wedding day. This experience will be just as power-
FALL 2015 / WINTER 2016 | LGBT WEDDING GUIDE
ful as the photograph themselves. If you are uncomfortable for any reason it will respond in the images. For Amy and I we take our combined 30 years of experience to help you with all the decisions you may have in the planning process and on the day of the wedding. On the day of, your photographer should be able to move seamlessly from inside to outside and be able to move people around and into position. Not much surprises an experienced photographer, anything that happens can be overcome. In the course of the day we will repair flowers, help guys figure out how to tie their ties, repair dresses and countless other things. This will be the difference between the photographer that charges $1000 and the photographer that charges $7000.
TIPS FOR THE DAY
As you meet with photographers, make sure that you like the person you are meeting with and that they are genuine with you. If all of this links up then look at their work and make sure their style matches yours.

We'll be there each step of the way, to capture everything! We believe you are investing in our expertise, and what we can create for you. So have fun and enjoy every moment! Be goofy! Be silly! Be serious! Be loving! Be you!"
