The iconic Spoonbridge and Cherry sculpture is the centerpiece of the 11-acre Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, which features works by international contemporary artists. The 85th MLB All-Star Game and T-Mobile FanFest is in Minneapolis in 2014. Baseball’s best converge in this midsummer classic for five days of events on the field and at the Minneapolis Convention Center leading up to the big game. Five professional sports teams that can be seen in Minneapolis Saint Paul are: Major League Baseball’s Minnesota Twins; National Football League’s Minnesota Vikings; National Basketball Association’s Minnesota Timberwolves; National Hockey League’s Minnesota Wild; and Women’s National Basketball Association’s Minnesota Lynx.

GETTING AROUND

MINNEAPOLIS BOARD THE TRAIN

The METRO Blue Line connects downtown Minneapolis with the MSP International Airport and Mall of America. Fully-automated ticket machines accept major credit cards, so international visitors don’t need to exchange. Take the METRO Green Line between Minneapolis and Saint Paul starting June 2014.

TAKE THE BUS

Metro Transit operates one of the largest public transportation systems in the country. Riding public transportation is a convenient and inexpensive way to get around. Fares range from $0.50 to $3, depending on time of day and zone. Look for buses marked “Free Ride” along Nicollet Mall or near Minneapolis Convention Center.

RIDE A BIKE

Want to see the city on your own? Take a trip on a Nice Ride bike, our green bike-sharing program. Download free apps and find the nearest stations and bicycle availability, as well as suggested sightseeing routes. Every trip you take is free (up to 30 minutes with a $6 subscription); so hop on, and go where you want to when you want to.

CATCH A CAB, SHUTTLE
