A hard maple core provides physical weight, while a matte rubber finish brings forward a sophisticated surface. The upholstered slip seat makes for an alluring and comfortable experience.

Cabinet Reclaimed Palette Wood - Fall 2008 15” h x 12” d x 30” w Made up of reclaimed palette wood, Cabinet is an opportunity to build on an engaging idea and create ‘well-rounded’ design. Conceptually, the piece focuses on the promotion of sustainable practices that are also visually appealing. An object should not just be praised for its one outstanding quality; hence, the insistence of using discarded slabs of wood to create a beautiful piece of furniture.

Beech, Okoume, Industrial Felt - Fall 2008 30” h x 12” w x 17” d Jr. Chair is a departure from a personal interest in purely sculptural concepts. Inspired by the work of Alvar Aalto, the piece showcases clean design without taking itself too seriously. A series of detailoriented decisions produce this small and sophisticated chair.

Out of Many, One Black Walnut - Spring 2008 15” h x 18” w x 12” d A formal analysis of repetition, Out of Many, One, utilizes one simple shape in a modular way to create a surface. Inspired by the popular attributes of children’s building blocks, the piece is made up of three small stools that allow the user to rearrange the piece at will. Thus, the maker’s process is mirrored in the user’s actions.

Two Tables Cherry, Black Walnut - Fall 2007 36” h x 6” w x 6” d 40” h x 6” w x 6” d A study of archetypal and sculptural forms, Two Tables showcases the basic components of a recognizable object. The validity of the piece is questioned by the lack of function. An exercise of language in threedimensional space, it tests the arbitrariness of mundane objects.

Bird Cage Cherry, Hard Maple - Spring 2008 18” h x 4” w x 4” d A study of proportions at a small scale, Bird Cage explores individual parts and its extremes in order to create an interesting final composition.
Like Seeds Aircraft ply - Fall 2008 2” h x 3” w x 10” d Like Seeds is an examination of the process of bent lamination. The modular pieces are designed to show the limits of both the process and the materials.

Bangle Sheet Metal - Spring 2009 24� h x 32� d Bangle is a simple study of form that utilizes CAD and Laser Cutting technologies with the purpose of removing the design origins from the perceived final product.
Hammock’s Hammock Steel, Scarf - Spring 2009 24” h x 12” w x 36” d A quick sketch made out of metal rod, Hammock’s Hammock is small and inviting. The hammock is a result of immediate reaction to sudden inspiration.

Lounge (in the) Bar Stool Steel, ABS Plastic - Spring 2009 10” h x 4” w x 4” d Realized in the form of a quarter scale model, the Lounge Bar Stool concept introduces comfort and hierarchy in a bar setting. 48
A Hairpin Aluminum - Spring 2009 8” h x .5” d A Hairpin is an elegant accesory created through an industrial process. Machined from an aluminum rod, this hair piece displays the range of possibility found within a particular technique.
Cup & Saucer Aluminum - Spring 2009 2” h x 1.75” d .5” h x 2.75” d Inspired by the bold taste of an espresso shot, Cup & Saucer is a sharp rendition of the classic form of an espresso cup. The lightness of the saucer is contrasted by the weight of the cup, further complementing each other.
