RECONNECT FORT WORTH 1019 North Main is a place for the Fort Worth community to remember a negative past and think about a positive, united future. Currently, 1019 North Main is an abandoned large brick building surrounded by vacant lots half way between downtown and the Fort Worth Stockyards. In the 1920’s, the building was used by the Ku Klux Klan. The new 1019 will serve to turn the site’s damaged structure and negative history into a positive one to foster communication and collaboration for the city of Fort Worth.

GATHER TOGETHER.

Diagnostic Community Center, Fort Worth, Texas Everyone is welcome: for engagement, conversation, community, or reflection. If it is at the local cafe, your grandma’s living room, the neighborhood bookstore, the city park, or your own front porch, the Diagnostic Community Center is centered around the people. This is a place people can come together for support and vulnerability, a space where you can be honest with how you are feeling and be seen as more than any exam result and diagnosis. This is not a center limited on purely medical procedures; rather, it is a structure designed for holistic aid. By placing a diverse arrangement of options of seating together or apart, the Community Center promotes the power of choice. A comfortable and relaxed design creates spaces for engagement, education, work space, and counseling for you to leave empowered and supported.

Athleisure Retail

Spring Forward Retail instantly pulls the custumer away from their stressful and busy lives and lets them relax in a tranquil space designed to appeal to women seeking everyday healthy living. Immediately upon entering the store, one meets a large water wall, setting the tone for the shopper’s experience. A large wooden paneled fixture lining the ceiling and wall pulls the customer to the right, re vealing Spring Forward’s newest arrivals. Merchandise is intentionally spaced in the store to avoid overpowering the customer, and instead creates a comfortable and pristine environment. The bright colors of the apparel and accessories highly contrast with the natural tones of the store, drawing the customer’s eyes to Spring Forwards collections.

Pinpoint accent lighting is used throughout the space to guide the custumer to certain displays. Daylight infiltrates the main showroom, connecting the interior and exterior and promoting natural light. All lighting is LED to emphasize sustainability.

The Santorini condo, located in Oia, Santorini, overlooks the clear blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea. The interior of the condo is laid out in a shell form, in which organic curves and fixtures define the space. Upon entering the condo, you are welcomed into a large dining room for guests to feel welcome. The interactive kitchen is centrally placed in the condo for easy access and functionality. The rounded bar in the kitchen is balanced by a circular niche in the private sector of the villa. This private atrium serves as a relaxing retreat for the villa’s residents. By incorporating traditional Grecian materials and colors, the condo enhances the local culture and decreases the divide between exterior and interior spaces.

The purpose of the Nuovo Mercato is to create a pop-up structure that is portable, collaborative, and adaptable to many functions. The structure is similar to a flower in shape and movement, and can open eight different ways depending on the purpose. The structure is reminiscent of a Florence market booth, made with white cloth and steel rods. Within the structure, the work areas are interactive and tables can shift to accommodate different tasks.
