Client Analysis - Olivia Burton Olivia Burton is a British company based in London and started up by Jemma Fennings and Lesa Bennett who met at the London College of Fashion. The brand was founded in 2012 and has quickly grown into a global brand exporting to 11 countries. From support from UK Trade & Investment export sales for the company have risen from £60,00 to £500,000 and an overall revenue increase from £707,000 in 2012 to a 2014/15 forecast of £3.5m.
Both Jemma and Lesa previously had successful careers in buying for companies such as ASOS and Selfridges, which has helped when building relationships with these retailers to stock their products. Their watches are stocked both online on their website and also other online retailers like ASOS and Topshop and in store like John Lewis and Goldsmiths. They have also designed exclusive watches for each of the places they are stocked for example a watch for 150th anniversary of John Lewis. As Olivia Burton is a relatively new brand they don’t seem to have any direct competitors. They have emerged on the market as a unique modern brand and have gained their fans through promotion on popular sights like ASOS and Topshop.
Olivia Burton doesn’t have any celebrity ambassadors they get along by being active in the social media aspects of things having both an Instagram and twitter. They have been featured in magazines such as LOOK and Marie Claire, and have bloggers writing about their watches, which also boosts their customer base.

Olivia Burton Vintage Parisian Collection – Concept for launch event New collection of six watches for A/W15 which will have a vintage Parisian theme. Their past themes for collections have been woodland, winter garden, wonderland and modern vintage so this theme will fit in well with the others. As Olivia Burton is a British company it may seem strange to be doing a Parisian theme but this could promote the brand to Paris and other countries and branch out to other themes possible in the future. The brand ambassador for this new collection will be Clémence Poésy, a French actress and fashion model. She has acted in Harry Potter and Gossip Girl, which could bring a younger generation fan base to the brand. She is one of Karl Lagerfeld’s many muses along with Alexa Chung and Leigh Lezark, and has been the face of Chloé for their perfume ads. The location for the launch event will be the Vista Sky Bar at the Trafalgar hotel in London. It will be on 28th June 2015 at 2pm. The whole feel of the event will be relaxed with fairy lights placed around the venue and flowers in vases on every table. The watches will be on display in baskets of bicycles placed around the roof terrace. On each table there will also be a selection of the watches on display. There will be French and British cocktail classics such as Mimosa, Rose Cocktail, French 75, Pimms and more for drinks, including also non-alcoholic drinks all served in little glass bottles with straws to give a youthful feel to the drinks. There will be macaroons, and colourful meringues, and many other canapés for the guests to enjoy.
Guests invited to the launch event will include editors of magazines such as UK and Paris Vogue, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, InStyle, Elle UK and some of the weekly fashion magazines like Grazia and LOOK. There will also be ambassadors for stockists of the brand Olivia Burton for example ASOS, John Lewis, Selfridges, Harvey Nichols and Topshop.

Olivia Burton Vintage Parisian Collection – Concept for launch event There will also be fashion bloggers invited to the event such as Camille OvertheRainbow, 5inchandup – Sandra Hangelstam, and Ring My Bell – Ashely Madekwe. Suzy Menkes and Hilary Alexander would also be invited along with a select few celebrities that are representive of the brand, like Alexa Chung, Fearne Cotton and of course Clémence Poésy.
When the guests’ leave they will be given a media pack containing the press release for the collection, a gift of a watch from the collection and some mini macaroons.

Olivia Burtons Vintage Parisian Collection A/W15 - Press Release Olivia Burton announces the launch of a new vintage ‘Parisian’ watches collection for Autumn Winter 2015. The collection will consist of six new ladies watches with French actress and model Clémence Poésy becoming the face of the collection.
Clémence stated, “I am very honoured to be the face of Olivia Burtons new collection. They are a British brand so as a French woman I am glad to be have given the opportunity to promote these watches to a French aswell as British audience. The watches themselves are timeless but also modern and suit anyone with the options for a big, midi or mini dial.” Four of these watches are made with soft leather straps in camel, cream, dusky pink and periwinkle blue with two of the watches having metal straps in rose gold and gold. The watches dials will be available in either big, midi or mini to suit anyone’s needs. On the face of the watches will be motifs like the Eiffel tower or even stripes, which the French are so famous for. These watches are in the price range of £55 - £120 depending on materials and size of the watch.
The watches will be available to buy from the 1st of August, in all of their previous stockists for example ASOS, Topshop, Selfridges, John Lewis and Harvery Nichols. A full list of their stockists both online and in shops is on their website ‘oliviaburton. com’.
