Logo Ideas This is my logo development. I have played around with shapes and text but found the most effective is simply my initials inside the circle. The logo with the trainer represents me well, as I have a slight obsession with trainers. I also love the simplicity of the font used in this. The graphical font used in the first design represents me due to the fact it is quite structured and straight to the point. The final logo is most effective in my opinion as I like the simplicity of this, and also the clarity. The font does not make it completely clear, as the ‘M’ is made out of triangles, making it slightly more versatile.

Final Logo Design

This is the design I have decided to use for my final logo. I like the simplicity of it, and like the graphical font used for my initials. I like that I can use this logo in a varied number of ways. For examle on such documents like my CV I have taken this font but used my whole name rather than initials. I like the colours chosen as they are both simple and sophisticated.

Business Card Development These are my initial business card ideas. I have kept the colour scheme from my logo, and want this to be the main focal point, as I want the person to remember my name. I have kept all the designs extremely simple on the front, with no writing, as this will be displayed on the back.

This is the final design I have decided to use for my buainess card. On the front there is simply my logo. This provides clarity, and I feel it looks simple yet sophisticated. On the back of the card I have provided my details in a simple, easy to read font, as well as my name in larger text so that it stands out and is easier to remember. The overall design is clean and simple, which I feel represents my working style.

‘What is Beauty’ Photoshoot

As a group, we had to carry out a photoshoot based on the idea ‘What is beauty?’. The shoot also had to be inspired by an appropriate tastemaker. We looked at Grace Jones, and the theme of androgyny in relation to different notions of beauty, as this is becoming more common in the fashion industry. We chose to look at Grace Jones, as we liked her care free attitude, and the fact that she did not care about how others perceived her. We researched how perceptions of beauty have changed over time, and having an androgynous look in todays society is much more accepted. The main question we wanted to pose, is why should beauty be gender defined, surely it shouldn’t

This is a visual representation of me through a composition using a few of my favourite items. I have included: - A casio watch, as this helps me with my timekeeping skills. - Nike Blazers because I love wearing trainers in the day - Heels, as I love to dress up in the evening, in contrast to footwear I wear throughout the day - Disco Pants as I love to go out dancing, and never seem to ake these off. - Sunglasses, as I love summer, and travelling to different countries.

Window display idea, to promote the idea of recycling fashion.

“London Fashion Week 2012 generated over £100m of orders.” My numerical fact is about a large figure of money being spent on fashion. In the window display there will be toilets with money thrown down them, bins spilling out with money and fake fires, to look like money is being set on fire. This will highlight the money wastage consumers spend on fashion, and will be a way to encourage consumers to recycle fashion instead, to save money. It will aim to shock people.

Display clothing coming out of recycling banks, such as this one that Puma came up with, in a bid to encourage consumers to recycle their old clothing

Use recycled dresses in the window display, to promote this type of fashion. Also like the dress here, attach different recycled items, including money, to show just how much money the fashion industry makes.

Personal

Professional

For the Professional moving image, I would like to show pictures of my work, as this is a serious, more formal representation of myself as well as the way I work. I would like it to move, in the form of a flipchart, but with the images on pages, like those of a portfolio so that it is almost like an interactive portfolio.

For my personal moving image I would like to include things about myself, such as photographs of myself and friends, my favourite items, moodboards about myself, and something about my style, which is why I chose the Street Style piece of work. For this I would like these images to be stuck on the walls of my bedroom, and then videoed going around the room. The reason for this is that my bedroom is the most personal and truest repreentation of myself.
