WHAT IS BRONZE?
Yes! The majority of our earwires are sterling silver or gold vermeil. Posts are either sterling silver or surgical steel.
Bronze is our newest keepsake metal that we import from Italy. It is a beautiful alloy with a soft gold tone. Like sterling silver, bronze can be polished back to its original tone.
WHAT IS STERLING SILVER? We use the highest quality of .925 sterling silver, a silver and copper alloy, which enhances the jewelry’s strength and durability.
WHAT CAUSES SILVER TO TARNISH? The copper content in silver reacts with the air and results in tarnishing. Additional common culprits include perfume, lotion, hairspray, cosmetics, humidity, and even human contact.
WHAT SHOULD I USE TO SAFELY REMOVE TARNISH? Purchase our Stella &Dot jewelry cleaning kit and follow the enclosed instructions.
WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO KEEP JEWELRY LOOKING NEW? 3 QUICK RULES 1. Always last on, first off. 2. Seal and store in airtight plastic bags. (Never keep jewelry in the bathroom—humidity is the enemy!) 3. Keep dry. (Never bathe in or spray perfume on your jewelry.)
WHAT IS GOLD PLATING? Gold plating is the process used to achieve a gold finish on any base metal type, other than sterling silver. Over time, gold plating may wear. This is due to normal wear and tear and is not the result of a manufacturing defect.
IS YOUR JEWELRY LEAD AND NICKEL SAFE? Yes! Our entire collection, including girls’ jewelry, is tested for lead and nickel content at certified testing facilities and meets all strict standards required by law.
WHERE ARE YOUR PRODUCTS MADE? We’ve traveled the world to work directly with the finest stone cutters and component makers in India, Thailand, China, and Vietnam.
