Technical Design

Concept

This textile based collection is inspired by all the feelings that highlight our senses and make us have strong emotions. The most significant feeling of all is love. Love is directly associated with travel, food, art and is all about being in the moment. Inspired by what love means to me personally. Unique textiles have been created through collage. Each print represents a montage of moments that have powered my senses .

Research & Design Development

Taking inspiration from embroidered surfaces and experiment by making handmade samples using a variety of techniques as cross stitching.

Print Development

Using the embroidered samples I made, I developed it into a variety of prints by overlaying them on top of some mark making drawings and using Photoshop to give them an artistic 3D feature.

Design Development

I created the main silhouette in the mannequin, using as the main piece a blazer dress and some organza to create interesting shapes for the sleeves of the collection. Other drawings focusing on silhouette.
