Project : Investigation. Synthesis of a creative environment Studio : Cultivating Architectural critiques

The studio engaged with in-depth study , understanding

and critical analysis of CEPT campus. The campus was observed in close proximity from the perspective of the student -faculty being the major user groups. The campus behavior documented with its inhabitants in the built landscape focused on the tactility of campus at various scales. The learning environment of the campus is open and is extending beyond the classroom/studio environment. Reading and making is expanding with the campus, extension of the eco system of learning is crucial. The curiosity created in observing the ambiguous nature of the campus focused into relooking the campus through a critical interpretation of a design and technology university. The constituents of creative design environment is questioned and re-envisioned a system which would bring in a new perception of a design university.

Blurring the boundaries with a single large span roof.It creates a portal to the campus where the creative environment connect to Ahmedabad University. The library and the workshop responds to the creative aura of the campus of being a extension of experience under massed structure roof.

The terrace of the workshops and the librariy transform into extended reading and workspaces. Storage, semi-open reading spaces and exhibition spaces are also the distinguishing characteristics of the workshop.
