Leadership Mission Statement

Set an example, be real, and leave it all on the field. Leadership must begin with a strong foundation of leading by example. People will not follow you if you are not exemplifying the same standards you are trying to set. Nor will a team grow and thrive if you do not promote authenticity. Every person has a unique view, experience, talent, and goals – pour into the differences and that is what can make impactful and lasting leadership. Lastly, lead with your heart or flat out leave it all on the field. A team gives it their all when they are passionate and bought in on their leader AND their mission.

My leadership philosophy is based upon the following core values and principles: LOYALTY Loyalty must be earned over time but can be lost in an instant, it is built on trust and commitment. I have consistently exemplified my loyalty to my customers, family, and team by showing up fully each time even when I cannot control the outcome. I do not back down from difficult situations, I am dedicated and loyal to all relationships and passions I have, and I will always carry this forward as an example to others. INTEGRITY What you do when no one is watching speaks volumes. How I conduct my business, treat my customers, stand alongside my teammates, and respect my family is what I will enforce on my team – being honest and transparent with high standards. Creating a standard on the team of high integrity is done through transparency, and open and consistent communication. Do what is right, not what is easy.

PASSION “Do it with passion, or not at all.” Passion can be shown in many varying levels of intensity, but at the core it means that you care. I will show my belief in my team and care for their individual and team success through my openness, work ethic, and attention. Passion breeds passion.

COLLABORATION A team that does not work together will not win. No one can succeed long term on an island. I will collaborate with my team to learn from them and open the communication, igniting a collaborative spirit throughout the entire team and fostering real and raw conversations. Facing the challenges together, more solutions will come.

COMPETITION Strive for the wins, never settle. Leave it all on the field. I will fight for my team and lay on a sword for them if they are doing the right things. They will feel my support, attention, and true care in what they are doing.

AUTHENTICITY I lead with authenticity, and every interaction I have is purely Meghan Deska. No one succeeds trying to be something else, even though external factors try to tell us otherwise. I am consistent, I bring the same level of intensity, drive, and passion to everything I do and that is something important to creating a team’s authenticity and pulse. A team’s leader must know themselves to the core to build the trust around them.

My Purpose: My goal is to be a strong example and leader to my team and others. I lead with my heart to inspire and push people to be the best versions of themselves and achieve success. I will learn from them in the process, I recognize I will never know everything. I strive to leave everything better than when I found it.

My Expectations: • Be curious – Do not just settle with the “easy” answer. Embrace challenges and face them. • Accountability – Own your decisions, wins, and even mistakes. Own what you can control. • Be coachable – We never stop learning in life, there is always a chance to grow. Push yourself. • Passion – Invest into your team, business, family, and yourself. Be intentional with choices that impact you and those around you. Simply put, care. Things that I will not accept: • Complaints without solutions • Lack of ownership and accountability • Entitlement

• •

Laziness Poor attitude

General comments about me: • I am a very strategic and big-picture person, looking to make positive change for the long-term and not just an immediate, short-lived impact. • I care about investing in people and watching them grow. I celebrate their little wins and big life moments. I listen, whole heartedly. When people feel heard their world can change. • While I can come across as calm, there is absolutely no lack of passion, and my calm intensity is very successful in stressful or difficult situations. • My words are direct and always authentic, less is more and allows for better clarity and transparency. • My circle of family and friends are everything to me, I am loyal and go above and beyond with them. What’s great about my leadership style: • I lead by example and with my whole heart. I care. • I recognize everyone’s differences and understand message delivery and communication needs to be strategic to be effective. • I welcome challenges and difficult situations; I can be calm in turbulent times. • I am approachable, fostering open communication and transparency.

Where I can have “gaps”: • I am fiercely loyal; once I lose trust in someone it is almost impossible for me to get it back and can cloud judgement. • I plan for outcomes A to Z; my thorough nature can sometimes lead to analysis paralysis. • I run hard and like to be involved. I do not always say “no” when I should.

How I like to be led: • I want to feel trusted and understood. • I want to be challenged in an empowering way. • Getting constructive feedback is key, but also being able to strategize with my leadership and have open communication takes it one step further. • Transparencyand honestly is important, I want to know the truth to approach situations accordingly and not blindly.
