This is my personal brand that I created for myself. I use it on freelance products. I chose cool colors with a watercolor to have a fun, free feel to the design.

Nobile Aa BB Cc Dd Ee Ff Gg Hh Ii Jj Kk Ll Mm Nn Oo Pp Qq Rr Ss Tt Uu Vv Ww Xx Yy Zz I created this brand during an internship, Summer 2015, with Heimer Law PLLC. The attorney decided to rebrand his firm to target future birth moms with unplanned pregnancies to choose adoption through him. I also applied the rebrand to his website: http://www.myadoptionarkansas.com. As well as established a Facebook presence with 170 likes only using organic advertising.

myadoptionarkansas.com

The website didn’t have many changes that needed to be made. I changed the theme colors to match the brand and added the menu tabs. Outside organization, the largest part of the website project was creating the blog. I created a blog area for Mr. Heimer to reach out to his future/current clients about common adoption practices. The other intern, Keith wrote the blogs and I attached the photos and built them into the website.

Adoption Arkansas Facebook Creating a Facebook presence was my major responsibility throughout the internship and it flowed over into the fall semester. The goal of the Facebook page was to show Justin Heimer’s personality and to make connections with his audience. He wanted to use emotion to connect with his target audiences. Heimer, because of legal rules, wanted to focus on parenting and family through the Adoption Arkansas Facebook page. I only shared information, instead of writing statuses to keep clear of any legal issues. What I found in the 8 months at Adoption Arkansas is the most activity in Adoption Arkansas’ audience is early morning and late in the evening, proving what I projected. A vast majority of the audience are parents, so they check Facebook before the kids get up, after they are dropped off at school or after bedtime. The most liked post was a cute joke showing the real reason for Christmas, that displayed that a huge part of his audience is young Christian parents, like Heimer.

UA Office for Sustainability

The first client account I worked on in the ELL was the UA Office for Sustainability. I scheduled posts among media platforms, created graphics for Instagram posts, and designed and sent out the monthly newsletter. The semester I was on the project the Twitter account gained over 100 followers.

I created this brand guide at the ELL for a client in Equine Science at the UA. The professor is creating a program for psychology and other majors outside of agriculture using horses. I also design an invitation for their open house.

This is a brand I designed for an ELL client. The UA professor created a program to encourage farmers and other businesses to choose alternative sources of electricity and assisting them while applying for funding. I also designed a brochure and the signs posted at the energy stations. After I designed the signs I worked with a printer in Springdale to choose a durable material that would work outside, have the signs printed, and delivered to the client.

REAP Brochure Small-scale wind energy installations can be useful in locations with less-than-ideal solar potential. The REAP’s Wind Energy Analysis Station displays a 400-W wind turbine that powers a small water pump. The pump aerates the pond to improve the pond’s ecosystem. With two batteries storing electricity from the turbine, the blades only turn when the batteries are being charged.

SOLAR ENERGY ANALYSIS STATION Solar energy is a great option for many home and farm applications. The REAP’s Solar Energy Analysis Station displays two possible configurations for on- and off-grid use. The on-grid array, featured on the left, is a 1-kW system containing four 250-W modules, each with its own microinverter. Electricity is transformed from DC to AC for use in home applications. Harvested electricity goes into the grid’s power lines. The off-grid array, featured on the right, consists of one 250-W module attached to a water pump. A switch on the back of the structure turns the pump on and off. Without a battery backup, this system only works when the sun is shining. It’s an affordable option for irrigation and livestock watering in remote locations. To learn more about the REAP’s Energy Analysis Stations, go to reap.bumpers-college.edu!

Disciple Now

I created this logo for Cross Pointe Student Ministries, for Disciple Now 2015. I incorporated the new Cross Pointe Community Church logo, the cross inside the circle, designed by Ansen Bayer. The theme was This is War, meaning the world is a battlefield that we have to fight in daily. Disciple Now is a retreat weekend where the students stay at host homes and participate in bible studies and service projects. The logo was used on bulletins, brochures, booklets for the students, and T-shirts.

Videography

In the Spring Semester 2015, Mrs. Kelly Kemp served as a executive in residence in the agricultural communication program in the UA’s Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences. In Agricultural Broadcast Media Basics, taught by Kemp, teams of four spent the semester learning how to use Premiere Pro and outlining a broadcast script. The team I participated on did a story on a creamery in Elkins, Arkansas that sells their cheese at multiple farmers markets in Arkansas. I was the videographer, I filmed the interview and most of the b-role. I received an A in the course and learned a lot about the broadcast industry. To watch the video please click here.

Videography

In the Spring Semester 2015, I did a non-profit internship at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks. I assisted in posting to the blog, photos to Instagram and scheduling Facebook posts. My favorite project I did in my time there was working with Dr. Klingaman on creating a video asking for donations to paint a mural in the children’s garden. I filmed and edited this video. Wardlow returns to the classroom By Meghan Anderson

Agricultural Education, Communications and Technology Department Head George Wardlow has returned to teaching after serving as the interim director of the School of Human Environmental Sciences.
