The project is located in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, the idea was to make a home with modern luxurious look and feel. The client wanted the mood board to get the idea of the designs. They have 2 floors, ground floor will be used by the resident family and terrace will be used as home theatre, study area and lounge space.

LUXURY TOILET COMPETITION
Participated in Hansgrohe competition for compact luxury toilet. The project includes the renovation works of Safdarjung Airport, New Delhi. The design strategy was to keep it minimal yet alluring. The Finishes used in the toilet are derived from the industrial concept. The colors are complimenting each other as the warm and cold tones are used to create an exquisite and comfortable space. All the fixtures are wall mounted and washbasin counter is custom made as the bottom is lifted up. This is to create a greater floor space which enables a magnificent look and feel of the areas and cleaning is easy which works as a boon to the helpers.

As we enter there is separate entry for ladies and gents toilet and on the left is the toilet for differently abled. The gents toilet holds the capacity of 8 urinals and 2 WC while the ladies toilet holds the capacity of 4 WC. The signage is provided on the walls for a better navigation.

INTERNSHIP
For my 4 months internship, I worked at The Concreate Story started in 2019. It’s a start-up an Interior Designing Firm specializing in luxury houses. Their specialty is that they customize the furniture and use handmade products according to the needs and styles of clients. They have a unique way of working and have a strong sense of design. Their mission is to bring artists, craftsmen, and model ideas under the common roof.

COMMUNITY CAFE
Community cafe targets the art community and tried to represent the cafe culture back in the 90s. It’s a space where people who respect and value the art and enjoy food are welcomed. There is a bar counter and live music station in the back of the courtyard.

The Bookshop is our client, the aim is to make a bookshop which represents their brand identity and combined with a cafe, where people can buy the books and enjoy a nice cup of coffee in the outdoor seating area.

BAMBOO WORKSHOP RHIZOME STOOL
The aim of this workshop was to build a product from bamboo or different part of bamboo and understanding its properties and joinery.

The furniture was build using bamboo roots and making joineries only using bamboo nails and sticks, not using any other material to keep it purely natural.Bamboo roots also refered as “Rhizome” wasn’t a material which was familiar so the material is unique and intersting to work with.
