Mehron Masters Artificial Beauty at Toni Francesc Metallic Powder Proves to be Backstage Must-Have

On Tuesday, February 16th at the Salon at Bryant Park, Spanish designer Toni Francesc debuted his “Artificial Life” Fall 2010 Collection. It was the second showing for Toni at New York Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. The new line is based on an androgynous image, one in which man and technology combine. Toni was excited to work with Mehron Makeup because he knew the extreme beauty leader could handle the difficult task of creating an “artificial” makeup look to complement the clothes.

Since Toni’s pieces were colored to represent metal and industrial elements, it made sense for the makeup to match the theme. Gold was the key color to the look created by Mehron head makeup artist Raedawn Johnson and her team of 5 artists. Blush and bronzer stayed in the makeup bag as the cheeks were blended with only a touch of Gold Metallic Powder to achieve the glowing look that Toni was looking for. The lips were also painted with Gold Metallic Powder and Mixing Liquid to give the “metal-like” look. 1950’s Beauty Hits the Runway with Mehron Makeup at Malan Breton Show

New York, NY February 10th, 2013- Fashion week continued for Mehron Makeup as it collaborated with Project Runway alumni Malan Breton for the debut of his new Fall 2013 collection at fashion week hotspot Pier 59. The night was all about classic American beauty with the makeup inspiration coming from images of Marilyn Monroe and James Dean. According to Malan, the sultry playfulness of the 1950s was his inspiration for fall. Key Mehron artist Dani Fonseca led her team to create looks for 30 female and 13 male models. Many New York socialites and celebrities were in attendance to support Malan who has become a well-loved face in the fashion industry with his distinguished designs. Spotted guests on the front row included several NYC Real Housewives, actress Nikki Blonsky, and famed photographer and A-List star Mike Ruiz. NYC Real Housewife Aviva Drescher was the final walk in the show wearing a stunning black gown with Mehron Makeup of course to complete the look. Mehron Creates Bold Makeup for Venexiana’s Edgy Fall 2013 Collection

New York, NY February 9th, 2013- Mehron Makeup sponsored the Venexiana show for a second consecutive season at Lincoln Center for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Adding a new fashion week twist, Mehron teamed up with the Academy of Freelance Makeup of London by utilizing some of their amazing artists for the show. Kati Stern, Venexiana head designer, was thrilled to work with Mehron again as she considers makeup a crucial part of completing the looks for her collection. Mehron’s key makeup artist, Dani Fonseca, created a dramatic glam look to go along with Venexiana’s distinctive style. For the base, Fonseca used Mehron’s Celebre PRO-HD to smooth skin imperfections while still allowing the skin’s natural beauty to shine through. She then used Mehron’s Celebre PRO-HD Loose Mineral Finishing Power, which contains French delaminated talc that is transparent to keep the skin’s colors bright and true while keeping the makeup in place. To contour the cheeks, Fonseca used Tawny Pink CHEEK Cream. Fonseca created a smoky eye with hints of plum to match the colors in the gowns. She did this by applying Desert Sand Intense Pro Pressed Pigment to the eyelid as a base. Then Fonseca layered Red Earth Intense Pro Pressed Pigment over the brown. To intensify the eye Fonseca also blended Amethyst Precious Gem and Carbon Intense Pro Pressed Pigment along the crease and outward. Gold Metallic Powder with Mixing Liquid was lined at the bottom of the eye towards the inner corner to give an extra pop and Pearl Precious Gem was applied under the eyebrow for sheen. To finish the eyes, Fonseca lined them with Black Detailz and applied Feather E.Y.E Lashes to the top and Fuller E.Y.E Lashes to the bottom outer corners. To balance the intense eye look, Fonseca went with a lighter lip. She mixed Mehron’s Natural L.I.P Cream with Celebre Pro-HD foundation for the lips. Mehron Makes Moves on London Fashion Week’s Runway

New York, NY September, 2013- Mehron Makeup - After much success with numerous shows at New York and Miami Fashion Week, Mehron Makeup has gone international with its runway repertoire. For the first time the brand sponsored two shows at London Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2014. London based makeup artist Yin Lee of Academy of Freelance Makeup of London (Aofm) keyed Mehron’s teams which were also made up of Aofm’s artists. Lee’s resume includes working for publications such as Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue Japan as well as working with brands such as Alexander McQueen and Agent Provocateur. On Friday, September 13th, London based Turkish designer Bora Aksu wanted an effortless and fresh looking makeup look. Lee used Celebre PRO-HD cream foundation along with Aura Bronzing Gel to achieve a flawless complexion. “Bora wanted very clear, skin but a bit sun blushed, youthful and slightly Lolita like,” said Lee. Mehron’s second show at London Fashion Week was with designer Haizhen Wang who is known for creating designs with masculine femininity. This season Haizhen referenced buildings and structure at different angles and a strong woman. The color palette consisted of very light pale greys and silvers. He requested the models have paled faces but not straight on white. Lee used Mehron’s Celebre PRO-HD in Eurasia Ivory to pale the skin and filled in the eyebrows very naturally with E.
