Invitation for CTEP Projects Stillwater County is currently accepting proposals for CTEP (Community Transportation Enhancement Program) projects from Columbus and other community groups/non-profit organizations across the County. To be eligible the nature of the proposed projects must fall within one of the following 12 categories: 1. Pedestrian and bicycle facilities

7. Historic Preservation

2. Acquisition of scenic or historic easements and sites

8. Archaeological planning and research

3. Scenic or historic highway programs

9. Environmental mitigation and wildlife connectivity

4. Landscaping and scenic beautification

10. Preservation of abandoned rail corridors

5. Rehabilitation of historic transportation facilities

11. Control of outdoor advertising

6. Transportation museums

12. Pedestrian and bicycle safety and educational activities

MATCH FUNDING REQUIRED: The organization sponsoring a CTEP project is responsible for 13.42% of the total project cost. PROJECT SELECTION: Once projects have been submitted to the Stillwater County Planning Office they will be prioritized and selected by the Stillwater County Planning Board based on the following criteria: Benefit to the community, cost, level of community support, compatibility with other plans or programs, and ability to comply with environmental requirements. A public meeting will be held to discuss prioritization of submitted projects. Applications are due back to the Planning Office (809 E 4th Ave N. Suite C or PO Box 881 Columbus, MT 59019) by August 15, 2012 at the above address.
