SLIMEMOTION DESIGN STATEMENT Slimemo�on is a hybrid centre to play, release or even enliven your mood of the day. The target users are kids and families and it focuses on how to build the closest rela�onship between kids and their ongoing emo�on. Emo�ons are hard to express especially with the kids. Therefore, the purpose of this space is for kids to express their true feelings, experience different ways of dealing with emo�ons and have fun at the same �me. Slimemo�on will be collabora�ng with Play Therapy Interna�onal to ensure a more accurate inves�ga�on on the emo�ons of kids. We both have the same mission which is to promote the use of play to enable full poten�al for the kids to express their emo�ons and improve their mental health and rela�onships between families. It will be open from Tuesday to Sunday (10am-8pm) and is based on one �cket one entry (full day or half day) pass system. Inspired by the ‘Inside Out’ movie, the colour scheme of this centre will be Red, pink, purple,blue, green and yellow. Each colour is given an emo�on and a character to make it easy understanding. The 6 colours contribute to the zones in the centre which are mixed feeling zone, joy zone, anger zone, sad zone, disgust zone, fear zone and surprise zone. Different zones have different services and ac�vi�es such as slime mixing, slime sculpture making, slime giant bubble game, magne�c slime play, glow in the dark slime experience, slime pool and splash. Photography service will be provided in the zones. The speciality of this centre is the customisa�on lab where user can personalize slime and bring it home.

While exploring the zones, user can drop by the food stalls where grab and go foods like candies, sweets and ice cream will be on sale. There will also be a donut cafe where user can sit in any�me, providing service of the food experience based on different emo�ons. Emo�ons are in everyone’s mind and exploring them may be fun, confusing and complex. Users can explore their emo�ons at Slimemo�on and learn how to control or deal with it in a fun way!

Reflection This project is very fun but at the mean time very challenging for me. It was a very tough decision for me to choose between manual and digital drawings. I tried both and finally decided to do it manually, to achieve the fluidity and style. I am quite happy with the outcome, especially the perspectives. I really liked them. If only I had more time, I wish that I could spend more time on the composition, to make my overall board more attractive and nicer. My time management is not so good this time as manual drawings really took me very long to finish them. After completing this project, I wish that I could have at least did one digital perspective to show the real materials and to relate more to the real world. In conclusion, I really had fun in this project and had learnt a lot in every aspects of design. The most important thing that I think to be improve after completing this project is my time management and my rendering skills.
