Bodily Injury/Property Damage Liability (BI/PD)
Comprehensive
With BI/PD coverage, we pay for the damages that you’re responsible for after an accident. If you’re sued, we pay for a lawyer to defend you.
With Comprehensive coverage, we pay for repairs to your car when there’s damage that’s caused by something other than a collision—fire, theft, vandalism, hail or flood.
With Bodily Injury coverage, we pay for the damages that you’re responsible for, up to the limit you chose, if there’s an injury or fatality.
We also pay for damage if you hit an animal, and we pay for a rental vehicle if your car is stolen.
With Property Damage coverage, we pay for the damages that you’re responsible for, up to the limit you chose, if you damage someone else’s property while driving. This can include another vehicle, a mailbox, a home or other object.
Collision With Collision coverage, we pay to repair your car when you hit—or are hit by—another vehicle or object, regardless of who’s at fault. When you buy Collision, you choose the deductible, typically $250 or $500. This is what you pay to a repair shop. We pay the rest, up to the limits you chose.

Med Pay With Med Pay, also known as Medical Payments, we pay for reasonable and necessary medical care you need as the result of an accident, regardless of who’s at fault, up to the applicable limits.
Uninsured Motorist Property Damage (UMPD) With UMPD coverage, we pay to repair damage to your vehicle that’s caused by a driver who doesn’t have insurance. We pay up to the limits you chose when you bought the policy.

Rental Reimbursement
With UMBI coverage, we pay for damages you incur, including medical expenses and lost wages, when you’re in an accident that’s caused by a driver who has no insurance or not enough insurance to cover these expenses. We pay up to the limits you chose when you bought the policy.
With Rental Reimbursement coverage, we pay for your rental car while your vehicle is being repaired. You can buy Rental Reimbursement if you have Comprehensive and Collision coverage. We’ll pay for 30 days of rental, up to the maximum per-day amount shown on the declarations page of your policy.
Personal Injury Protection (PIP)
Roadside Assistance
With Personal Injury Protection (PIP), we pay for medical bills and—in some states—other living expenses while you heal if you’re unable to work as a result of an accident, no matter who is at fault. PIP is often referred to as no-fault insurance. PIP limits vary by state.
With Roadside Assistance, we pay for repairs or towing services when your vehicle breaks down due to mechanical or electrical issues, a dead battery, a flat tire, a lock-out or if you run out of gas. It also applies when your vehicle is stuck in the snow or mud within 100 feet of a road.
Loan/Lease Payoff Coverage With Loan/Lease Payoff coverage, also known as Gap coverage, we pay the difference between the settlement amount and the amount you owe your lender if we declare your vehicle a total loss after an accident. If you lease your vehicle or have a loan, you can buy Loan/Lease Payoff coverage. We pay up to the limits you chose when you bought the policy.

Additional Custom Parts and Equipment With Additional Custom Parts and Equipment, we’ll pay for damage to aftermarket devices, accessories and other permanent enhancements that alter a vehicle’s appearance or performance.
