A Holiday Moment

As we enter into the “Holiday Season”, it is very important that Jesus remains the center of our holiday worship. As much as anyone, I simply adore this time of the year and all of its cheer. But some times as I walk through the stores I notice how extra rude and grumpy people become. The reason is simple. December is about X-mas and not about Christ sacrificial birth. Christmas is about God keeping His promise to mankind that He would send a redeemer to free man from the bondage of Satan. Yes, Yehua came as a baby, but He knew that as a man he would be a sacrificial lamb. Many years ago I was listening to the radio and a song came on. It was the perfect Christmas/ Easter song. Yes, Jesus may be a baby now, but Mary soon he will be the changer of so many lives. I must admit that while I love the traditional Christmas songs, and will encouraged play them Strongly and sing them throughoutfor thisall season, Mary Did You Know is probably my favorite song.

G

Mary did you know that your baby boy would some day walk on water? Mary did you know that your baby boy would save our sons and

daughters? Did you know that your baby boy has come to make you new? This child that you've delivered, will soon deliver you. Mary did you know that your baby boy would give sight to a blind man? Mary did you know that your baby boy would calm a storm with his hand? Did you know that your baby boy has walked where angels trod? And when you kiss your little baby, you have kissed the face of God. Oh Mary, did you know? The blind will see, the deaf will hear, the dead will live again. The lame will leap, the dumb will speak, the praises of the lamb. Mary did you know that your baby boy is Lord of all creation? Mary did you know that your baby boy would one day rule the nations? Did you know that your baby boy is heaven's perfect Lamb? members This sleeping child you're holding is the great- I AM Have A Merry Christmas & Blessed Holiday

The Ultimate Christmas Gift

As always, we give thanks at Thanksgiving to God for what he has blessed us with. As we prepare for Christmas, what better gift to receive than salvation. With the gift of salvation comes many other wonderful blessings. Although the world looks at Christmas with a more commercialized point of view, the Christians' view is more truth motivated.

gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. During World War I the newspapers ran the story of a letter found in the pocket of a soldier who had been killed in action. As his pockets were emptied and mailed to his mother, these words were found by her written on the back of a letter:

The truth is this is a time we celebrate the birth of Jesus. Aren't you glad you are able to separate the truth of Christmas from the world's idea of what Christmas means? This is a time for giving; the spirit of giving is every where. Is it because traditionally people know that at Christmas it is easier to get people to give? But the ultimate gift gets overlooked; in fact, we see the Ultimate Gift, and the Ultimate Giver. Salvation is the Greatest Gift ever given. Yet, through the ages we have found a place on our Christmas list for everyone else, except the One whom the blessed holiday is all about, the Christ Child! I ask you, with everyone else that has managed to make it on your Christmas list, have you thought about giving Jesus anything this year? If there is anyone who would receive a gift, it should be Him.

"The Greatest Verse in the Bible"

If you were to get Him a gift, what would you get Him? Would you buy Him a suit? If so, where would you find His size, for the Heavens cannot contain Him? Would you get Him a gift certificate? Well, He owns it all, and has no need of anything. In fact, He owns the cattle on a thousand hills, every hill, or would you give a gift that is priceless? We have also received gifts that we could never repay. Grace gifts are un-repayable. They indicate that the giver knows you well, and has put much thought into his gift; it is impossible to measure the cost of a gift. Well the clock is ticking and there are only a limited number of days to take care of your Christmas shopping. Jesus is the greatest person who has ever lived. Each year we celebrate His Birth as the coming of our salvation.

For God--the Greatest Lover So loved--the Greatest Love The World--the Greatest company That He gave--the Greatest Event (which is Christmas) His only begotten Son--the Greatest Gift That whosoever--the Greatest Offer Believeth in Him--the Greatest Simplicity Should not Perish--the Greatest Security But Have Everlasting Life--the Greatest Possession Unknown writer. This Christmas do you have that greatest security? Do you know that you have received the greatest possession of all--Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? Sometimes Christmas is especially hard for those who compare what they want with what others get. But the good news is that as a Christian, God has given us everything in Christ. All we have to do is unwrap and experience all that He has given to us. All of us who are saved, born again, and believers in Jesus Christ have received a gift--the greatest gift. But the question we need to answer is have you opened that gift. Salvation has many wonderful elements--each like a special present. Are you opening your presents? Have a blessed and joyful Christmas, Minister Isaac J. Bazile

Salvation is the greatest gift of all. Salvation is the only gift that everyone really needs. Salvation is presented to us as the ultimate Christmas gift in what is perhaps the best known verse of the Bible. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He

Words to Ponder LIL Chocolate BoY AKA - Charles Ademolu

Michael Dwayne Vick was a professional football player for the Atlanta Falcons. Terrific stand-out player who set records for performance, and the financial arrangements of his contracts, and commercial product endorsement deals, but he got caught in things he wasn't supposed to be doing. Now, he's beginning to lose property, reputation, fame, cars, houses and gaining debt and constant mockery. Doesn't his story sound a little familiar? His story sort of line up with Job's life. Sometimes, when it seems that everything is going wrong, and you're loosing everything, you might ponder to God "Why is this happening to me?" It might seem like this is the hardest time to look for God, but it’s the best time to seek his face, and the Kingdom of Heaven, and still trust him despite the multiple dilemmas. Trust God in this time and period, and watch Him work your blessings out of the impossible.

Hello from Denton

o l l e H s t n e d u t S College

Many may not know it, but I have transferred from Oral Roberts to the University of North Texas this semester. I am pleased to tell you that I am enjoying my experiences away from home. It has been a time of spiritual growth and maturity. I always keep my New Life family in prayer because I know that God has great things for us. Even though I am well away there is still no place like home. Jon R. Shorterez

Show Me Your Glory By Leslie Dockery “Caught a glimpse of your splendor in the corner of my eye, the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen. It was like a flash, lightening reflected off the sky, and I know I'll never be the same” (Phillips Craig and Dean) As believers , we should constantly hunger for God's presence. How do we enter into His presence? With thanksgiving and praise of Him. “Enter His gates with thanksgiving, enter His courts with praise.” The gates and the courts represent entrances to His presence. We must always thank , praise, and worship Him; that's how we get into His presence. By uplifting Him, we're inviting Him to spend time with us; for He “inhabits the praises of His people”.

The beauty of our Lord is found even in a “glimpse” of God's presence. “In His presence is the fullness of joy.” (Psalms 16:11) “Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty”(2 Cor. 3:17). We need to continually be thankful and praise Him so that we can forever reside in His presence. Who knows who we'll come in contact with that will need the benefits of having Him in the midst.

Something to think about "Most of us plateau when we lose the tension between where we are and where we ought to be." ~ John Gardiner

The Way I See It - In Lights

Unbeknown to me - some time during the night my tire decided to release some of the pressure that it had inside (would that make for a great story or message). So when I jumped in my Jeep, and headed out into the great wild, I was perplexed by the idea that my Jeep had a mind of it’s own, wanting to go right all the time (which was wrong most of the time). Reaching my destination I saw the problem. I had a flat...big time! Later that morning I made my way to the shop to have my tire repaired, after hunting down a gas station that had a working air/water machine. Since the repair would take about an hour and a half, I walked my little self down to Starbucks. When I opened the door, I was greeted by the delicious aroma of coffee, spices, pastries and everything that goes so nicely with autumn and the melodies of the Bueno Vista Social Club. No matter what had happen earlier that morning, I was hopping now. As I worked (actually I’m typing now), I sipped my coffee and let the sounds of Cuba’s finest and the sweet notes flowing from the mouth of the Barefoot Diva, Ceasaria Evoria, take me away. They had me jumping, swinging, feeling it and “it ain’t the café baby”! LOL! It’s that time of the year, when moods are swung or shaking. And you see I’m a holiday sweetie and it doesn’t take much for me to break forth in my rendition of the Swan Dance from the Nutcracker (or is it Swan Lake), so the flat tire was not even a bother. Nor the fact that the music was not even Christmas Music. But soon I came across a Facebook profile of a friend that said, “doesn’t do the holiday season :(” WOW! You have to be kidding me! Who does not like the “air” during the “winter” holidays? Could they be the real Grinch? They will not steal my Christmas. The way I see it, we all have our season when flat tires are just a passing moment. Moments when we a are popping and swinging. Then the season changes and while everyone around us is smiling and enjoying

the smell of happiness it seems like it’s the worst point of our life. No matter how pretty the lights are, or how sweet the music is, life can take you on a ride down a dark lonely road...way in the distance you see everyone else riding in the perfect sunlight. While we all have to drive on this road from time to time, we can overlook the exists that come along. It’s easy to become one of those people who become so blinded by the darkness that you never see that sign that reads “EXIT NOW - better road ahead!”. The Psalmist David wrote even though my path leads me through the shadow of death, I will not let fear over take me (paraphrasing). There are some who dread the holiday season because it brings up memories of sad, or worst times, or because there current condition in life is bleak, foggy and slippery. And at this moment I wish my computer would write the magic words that would make it go away. But there are none. However, there is God’s Word and promises that we can rely on to get us through. As I read His Word I come to understand it’s not really about what road I’m on at the moment, but the way I choose to see the road. I can see it as scary, dark and lonely, or I can see my detour as a moment to be alone with Him, apart from the glitter and distractions. Lord help me to remember the next time I want to complain. It’s very Christian to put on the coat of “I want to know Him in the power of His resurrection, and in the fellowship of His suffering,” until we feel how heavy that coat is, especially when it rains. We don’t have to shop for that coat because one day it will find its way into our closet. And let us not tell others how to wear it when we are prancing around in our new spring outfits. Life is real! It comes with dark roads and nice paved ones, flat tires and coffee shops, festive holidays and sad ones too. But remember, the seasons have always changed and so will yours. I had a choice, let the flat tire change me or I have the flat tire changed. How about the later!

We believe in one eternal God; infinite in power, holy in nature, attributes and purpose, as well as, omniscient and omnipresent. We believe this one true God, who revealed Himself as Father in Creation, as Son in redemption, and as Holy Ghost in regeneration. We believe that - in Him (Jesus) dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. For it pleased the Father that in Him should all fullness dwell. We believe in the death, burial and resurrection. We believe in being born again of water-by immersion in the name of the Lord “Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and in Spirit baptism of the Holy Ghost - speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. We believe in divine healing, communion and foot washing. We believe in presenting our bodies a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God. We believe in expressions of praise with lifted hands, hand clapping, playing of musical instruments, voice of praise and dancing. The purpose of New Life Temple Church is to instill the faith of Jesus Christ into the lives of ALL PEOPLE, bringing them into spiritual perfection with a spirit of excellence.
