The greatest story every told is not something that happened a long time ago. No, it’s something that happens every day! The story may have started over 2000 years ago, but it continues to be written each day that we live. The power of the grace of God at work in the lives of people each day is a story worth sharing. What makes it the greatest story ever told? The fact that it is a personal experience that continues each day. When you become discouraged by the distractions in this world, remember the story of grace is not from long ago, but right now -Pastor Mel

JULY/AUGUST 2013 lies from the devil. The enemy has not gone to sleep nor gotten weak in his stand against God, We, the people of God, must choose which side we stand on….. God’s side or Satan….. there is no in- between. I’m not writing this article to make you mad because of your political stand, but to make you mad about us Christians needing to stand for the cause of Christ. Yes, the Church must learn to present Christ in a loving way, yet not compromising the truth and righteousness of God. We must choose to serve the Lord in Spirit and in truth. If the Church of Jesus Christ does not choose to take a stand against that which stands again God, it will over take us. The culture of today’s philosophy is challenging the heart and the mind of our young people. They are questioning and dissecting the Word of God to their own destruction. The choices they are making, and the changing of the Word of God has caused many to make the wrong choices in life. The choices they make in morality are a far distant cry than 20 or even 10 years ago. May the God of Grace help us that love and fear Him, teach and live a life before our young, so they may choose this day to serve the Lord God Almighty.
Christian, not denomination but just Christian, that believes in God, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ are being called the haters. It is because we stand for truth and justice, for godliness and righteousness. We protest against

DEPRESSED? NOT IN MY VOCABULARY Sharon Clay, Singles’ Ministry Director
138:8a) It’s good to know that God is really concerned about our worries. If He wasn’t, there would be no need for this scripture.
Each time I “tried” to slump (get depressed), I would sing, “ In bed checking Living He loved me, dying He the radio for saved me, buried he carried my sound @ 11:20 sins far away, rising He justified p.m., making freely forever, one day He’s sure it’s loud coming back, Oh Glorious Day!” enough when I just kept singing and had the the alarm sounds nerve to get loud. There are events in Houston…….and there are “E V E N T S” in Houston. I believe that the Outreach ministry is the most exciting and rewarding ministry in the church. Why? I’m glad you asked. First, it is the mission of the church. He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved,” (Mark 16:15-18) This Scripture is known as the Great Commission. It is stated in each of the gospels. As this is the last recorded personal directive of the Savior to his disciples, it holds great significance to all followers of Christ. It is the foundation for evangelism and cross-cultural mission work in Christian theology. Because the Lord's instructions were to go to all nations, and that He would be

with us until the very end of the age, Christians of all generations have embraced this command. As many have said, it's not "The Great Suggestion." No, the Lord has commanded us to put our faith in action. He has assigned us, His sheep, with this marvelous mission. Sheep make sheep. One of the greatest blessings you can experience is to lead a lost soul to Christ Jesus. Luke 15:7 states, “I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven
over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.” Second, Outreach must be the focus of all other ministries in the church. Lastly, this is one of the avenues in which the church “demonstrates” love by giving. This brings me to the “E V E N T”. On August 10, 2013, 5 p.m. – 7 p.m., NLTC will sponsor a

This time will also allow us to share God’s word with lost souls. Personal contact always makes a difference. I’m excited!! This is going to be an enjoyable day for all. August 10, 2013, 5 – 7 p.m. See you then.

Even though I’m considered a mature adult when it comes to rating what is appropriate for my eyes to see, sometimes I think somethings are way too mature for my sensitive eyes. Of course in this case, I’m not blaming the entertainment industry...well not entirely. Instead, there is another group of people I wish I could sue! I mean I think there should be a Class action suit, because I’m sure I’m not the only one who is put off by such offense. Yes offense! Criminal OFFENSE! I’m astonished at how bold some people are. It’s as if they don’t care...they don’t care how they violate you. They don’t care about the trauma they may cause individuals. I’m not just put off by such outlandish behavior. I feel victimize by such atrocities against humanity!!! None the less, if I stand back hiding myself from this crime, I have to admit I am a bit in aww of how these people are not moved by what I or anyone else feels,

It is the passion and conviction which individuals have while committing such crime that causes me to give a ting of respect to them.

I have to wonder how many more lives I can touch if I had the same conviction, passion, and confidence those men and women had. Confidence in who my God really is. Is this what’s lacking in our daily wardrobe? Confidence.
