GET OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE IN 2023

Everyone is quick to make a resolution this time of year. The favorites are always along the lines of “I want to lose weight,” or “I want to quit (fill in your answer).” When trying to make positive change, at the first sign of discomfort we throw our hands up in the air and say “it’s too hard,” and revert to the easy, more comfortable way of doing things. We have all heard Albert Einstein's definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. When achieving any of your typical New Year’s Resolutions, you can’t just do things the way you have been and expect better results. If you're not challenging yourself, you're not changing yourself. So here is my challenge to you: get out of your own personal comfort zone in this New Year! Challenge yourself mentally and physically, and you will, without a doubt, be amazed at your accomplishments. You are going to have to put in the effort and get out of the box. Plus, it’s more fun and very rewarding! Explore your surroundings, learn something new, try something different, and whatever you do, don’t sit around and wait for it to happen—make it happen! Make a promise with yourself that you will push yourself beyond what you think you are capable of, and you will be amazed at the results that are achievable when you put in a little good old fashioned hard work! If you need a little extra motivation or guidance in helping you reach your fitness goals this year, your BCC Fitness & Wellness Team is here for you! ◆
