The 15th annual Affinity Newfoundland and Labrador Calgary Celebration would not be possible without the leadership, hard work and dedication of those who serve on the organizing committee, all of whom are good friends of Memorial University and the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. For months leading up to this evening, committee members worked tirelessly behind the scenes to promote and prepare for this event. Memorial University’s Office of Development and Alumni Engagement would like to thank these individuals for making this year’s dinner another resounding success.

ODE TO NEWFOUNDLAND
Sir Cavendish Boyle, Sir Hubert Parry
When sun rays crown thy pine clad hills, And summer spreads her hand, When silvern voices tune thy rills, We love thee, smiling land. We love thee, we love thee, We love thee, smiling land.
As loved our fathers, so we love, Where once they stood, we stand; Their prayer we raise to Heaven above, God guard thee, Newfoundland God guard thee, God guard thee, God guard thee, Newfoundland.
(Verses one and four)
