staff in the off-season, tapping Keelon Lawson as an assistant and Evarist Akujobi as the strength and conditioning coach. Lawson moves up to the collegiate level after a highly-successful high school career in the Bluff City. Lawson coached 11 seasons at Hamilton High School and led the WIldcats to a perfect 39-0 record and the Tennessee Class AAA state title in 2005-06. That squad is the last one from the city of Memphis to post an unbeaten season. Akujobi comes to Memphis from Houston Baptist, where he was the director of strength and conditioning for the entire Huskies athletics program. Akujobi primarily worked with the Houston Baptist men’s basketball squad from 2011-14.
