MOTIVATION

PA S S I O N + D I S C I P L I N E ENGLISH Motivation: this word falls short to describe what drives my determination to become an architect. I love architecture and I have never doubt my career choice. My passion for architecture encompasses my entire life.

I have displayed skills when it comes to arquitectura. translating abstract ideas in to concrete design concepts.

Interacting with other cultures made me more aware of my human condition, and therefore a more sensitive professional towards my responsibilities as an architect. By understanding humans we can understand how they experience space, ergo architecture.

04. PMJJ

Type: Urban Planning Location: Cartago, Costa Rica Size: 439000 sqm (approx.) Description: Urban and sociological investigation in a slum/low class neighborhood with the objective of designing an urban intervention through the implementation of a master plan. Concept: On the basis of the historic memory of the community, in the idea of the “wall of shame”, the proposal is a new “broken wall” to be crossed as they acquire new knowledge that empowers the people to improve their lives.

Brief Introduction: This project has an extensive predecessor: a six month sociological and urban diagnosis. This study helped model an urban intervention strategy to implement the spacial solutions in a correct manner. Because these studies contain extensive texts, the present work is only the second part of the project which is a quick summary of the master plan and its specific architectural proposals.
