The theory is that the double parable allows the tracking of sun light without needing to move the device. It concentrates the sun beams on the contaminated water container, elevating its temperature to over 100 degrees Celsius. The

steam is condensed in the upper wall and recovered as distilled water, which is recollected in a separate container .
