The Star Wars 6" scale Centrepiece range will also get a San Diego 2018 exclusive in the guise of this gorgeous Starkiller Base diorama complete with statues of Rey and a fully articulated Black Series Kylo Ren. The set replicates their final battle from the Force Awakens in the snowy forests of Starkiller base. The set is presented in a Black Series themed window box.
Hasbro have announced, via EW.com, that their 6" Star Wars Black Series exclusive at San Diego Comic Con will be this Han Solo box set.
The set, called the Exogorth Escape, will include the first release of the Bespin Han Solo. The figure comes with Han's blaster as well as the breathing gear and hydrospanner. I suspect the breathing gear and spanner are exclusive to this set. The new printing technology looks to have done an awesome job capturing Ford's likeness. The other inclusion is a Mynock.
The set is enhanced with a clip in and light up acrylic backdrop and a built in water mister for steam effect. The set is expected to get a basic release of just the Rey and diorama, most likely without the additional features which are listed as exclusive to this release? The Kylo Ren figure appears to have the new face print technology, and we can possibly speculate he too may get a release as a single release in the future also.
The set is being sold at SDCC 2018 for $109.99 and we would hope that Hasbro have some international options lined up.

Bandai have released the promotional images for their new 1/12 Star Wars Figure Kit of R2-D2. This is an improved kit from their previous R2 release and it comes with a wide range of bells and whistles, including R2's rocket boosters from the prequels. The various accessories can be fitted in place or displayed to the side of R2 on a specially designed display base. The kit should be out in September and will cost 2,200 Yen (£15). With the relaxing of being able to sell these outside of Japan via US distributor Bluefin we would hope this is available in the UK, US and beyond for around the £20-£25 mark.
New images have been released for the 3.75" scale Hover Tank, the first vehicle release for the relaunched Star Wars Vintage collection. The tank is due for release in August 2018.
Another Star Wars Astromech release from Bandai in their Figure Kit range is this R4-I9. This is an R4 Astromech as seen on both the first and second Death Stars providing maintenance for the Empire. The kit will arrive in November, costing 2000 Yen (£13). It should not be too hard to get outside of Japan with these Bandai products now having an official route to Western Markets via Bluefin. As a nice bonus part in the box, you get the drinks tray that R2-D2 uses aboard Jabba's Sail Barge. That means by buying R4-I9 you also get a new part to add to your existing Bandai R2-D2.

A number of images have been shared for the upcoming Deadpool wave of Marvel Legends with the Sauron build-a-figure. The big reveal is that of X-23 in her X-Men outfit, the figure that rounds out this Deadpool wave. The Hollywood Reporter has reported on a Hasbro Marvel Legends SDCC 2018 exclusive Netflix Box Set that will be sold exclusively at the show. The article has since been removed for some reason. The set contains an unmasked Daredevil with the masked head also being included. Jessica Jones is a tweaked version without her jacket. Luke Cage is a red shirt version as opposed to the yellow shirt we have seen in the 2-pack with Claire. There is then brand new figures of Colleen Wing and the Immortal Iron Fist, Danny Rand. For five figures and a likely presentation pack and limited numbers we would estimate a US price of circa $120 for this set. We would hope there is some level of international access to the pack.
They also reveal an interesting pack in with the Deadpool in his X-Men dress-up, a head and hat for Mad Cap. For those who aren't aware of Mad Cap he was a supervillain created by Marvel in 1985 who went on to go up against the likes of Captain America and of course with Deadpool, sharing many of the latter's abilities. It is unknown if there will be a body provided in future waves to go with this head, or if the intention is to display it as an alternative look with the X-Men dress-up Deadpool. The Deadpool wave is expected to land in August 2018.
In Demand Toys have let their customers know that the Stan Lee BAF, which was leaked a few months back, is no longer coming with the Ross & Killmonger Marvel Legends 2-pack. Since the pack was leaked we have reported this release was one of two sets which include parts to build a Stan Lee 6" Marvel Legends figure, the other being Falcon & Winter Soldier from Infinity War. It seems that the inclusion of the Stan Lee BAF, which was never confirmed by Hasbro, has now been cancelled. What will happen to the planned BAF is not yet determined. Thanks to In Demand for their transparency and flagging this issue on their social channels
Super 7 are taking us straight back to the 1980's with these 5.5" retro figures from Masters of the Universe. The 5.5"Vintage collection visuals see's the original figures revisited to match the character designs from the animated series. The first four figures will be He-Man, Skeletor, She-Ra and Hordak. While the temptation will b to keep these figures carded on the gorgeous retro cards - the figures do also come with a retro action feature where you twist the waist and have the figure swing a fist back at you. The figures are priced at $20 in the US with the figures expected to ship in September 2018.
While we are all mourning the loss of the Stan Lee BAF in the Everett Ross and Killmonger 2-pack, further disappointment has been revealed in this newest image of the Winter Soldier & Falcon 2-pack - the other set that should have contained Stan Lee parts. After seeing promising prototype images of Bucky, it seems Hasbro have simply gone back and used the clean shaven shorter haired head from the Civil War release, albeit with face print technology. This is of course not screen accurate to how Bucky was seen in Infinity War with his longer hair and beard. The 2014 Winter Soldier gun is also included which makes little sense but it looks like there is a second option of an Assault Rifle packed over the other side. Falcon seems to be identical to all the Falcon releases to date with perhaps tweaked paint and possible face print. He is still devoid of his AK47 handguns.
It's MOTU Monday and Super7 is happy to present the Masters of the Universe Vintage 5.5-inch Figures Collection. These new carded Vintage Figures come with their own accessories: He-Man with Power Sword, Half-Sword, and Shield, Skeletor with Havoc Staff, Power Sword, and Half-Sword, She-Ra with Sword of Protection, Shield and Sword, and Hordak with Arm Cannon and Crossbow The figures all feature a spring loaded mechanism: Turn the waist and they swing back with a punch! The packaging includes a custom character history card with the figure and has new and original art on the back of each card by classic MOTU artist Errol McCarthy. The pre-sale for the Masters of the Universe 5.5" Vintage Figures will open on Wednesday, June 20th at 12:00pm PST.

Medicom will be releasing an Infinity War Iron-Spider in their MAFEX 1/12 line of figures. Bluefin, the US distributor for SH Figuarts, has released the promotional images for the Infinity War Falcon figure we saw at the Tamashii Nations Comic Con. The figure comes with two head options, one with flight goggles and one without. There are also different hand options and what are listed as "exclusive" handguns, which may be the differentiating part in this Bluefin US release. The figure looks to be highly articulated, as always, through to and including the wings which look to fold fully back against each other for those dive bombing poses. The wings seem to have some level of holographic effect.
Spidey will come with his mechanical legs, and these are executed by a plug in back section. There will also be two head options, with two different eye expressions, and alternative hand options. Spider-webbing FX pieces are also included. There are also two alternative foot options containing magnets so Iron Spider can be posed on a wall - as long as its a metal surface - this is something MAFEX are doing on their comicbook Spider-Man. With the comic Spider-Man on pre-order for around $95 in the US (I can't locate any UK pre-orders yet) then this one is going to exceed that $100 mark easily with the added parts.
The figure will arrive in February 2019 and the Bluefin US price is $100
While it doesn't tell us much more than what we saw in April at a Trade Show, this new image of a SH Figuarts Infinity War Hulk is now being circulated. The figure is based on the look of Hulk from the trailer more than anything as of course he didn't really make much of an appearance in the movie except at the start on the Asgard lifeboat. Hulk will come with at least three head options - screaming, angry and neutral - as well as hand options so you can choose between fists for smashing or open hands for gripping. Hulk is due for release November 2018 so expect better promo images and full pre-order details shortly.
"Come with me if ... you want to collect awesomeness!" In the first 1984 film, the Terminator designated "T-800" time-travelled from the future back into the past to kill "Sarah Connor". In 1991's sequel, the roles were reversed with a new "T-800" this time sent back in time to protect Sarah Connor's son, "John Connor" (who is the leader of the human resistance in the future), from being killed by the more advanced "T-1000". One of his more iconic spoken lines in the film was "I'll be back", and 27 years later, indeed the T-800 has returned, but this time as a premium articulated collectible figure, ready for "action" in the palm of your hands! "Twelfth Scale Supreme Action Figure" presents the 1/12th scale collectible action figure of "T-800" from "Terminator 2: Judgement Day"! The hyper-realistic collectible figure features a head sculpt with a hand painted likeness of actor Arnold Schwarzenegger in his appearance as "T-800", mounted atop a magnetic neck which enables flexible rotation for the head, for optimum poseability.

The Action body features over 25 Points of Articulation, and is clad in his iconic black PU leather jacket and pants ensemble, and not forgetting his (removable) sunglasses, to complete that cool-"Infiltrator-Unit-killer-robot"-look! An amazing array of accessories include a Mini Gun, Grenade Launcher, Shotgun and Pistol, complete with a removable Grenade Launcher ammo bandolier and Mini Gun black ammo bag provides maximum play, and that the T-800 is ready to do battle at Cyberdyne building to destroy Skynet! A figure stand with name tag completes the set - ensuring stability on your display shelf, and a pride amongst your collection. Product Details

The backing card s also a bold red, which really makes the figure pop. Wolffe is clipped into an inner tray with his helmet to one side of his head, and his two blasters to the other side.
Clone Commander Wolffe, like Rex, was never seen in any of the live action movies and was a creation within the Clone Wars series - appearing in a number of stories through the Clone Wars years. He would also turn up again in Rebels with Rex (and Greggor) although not as trim as we see him in this Black Series release. So far in the Black Series we have had figures of Cody, Gree, Rex and now Wolffe. All using the same 2014 base Clone Trooper body with tweaks and additions relevant to each character.
Wolffe is the second Tamura Morrison headsculpt, after Rex, to use the face print technology. And while this may be the same base actor the head is vastly different from Rex and includes Wolffe's scar and damaged eye as well as his scowl. His hair is jet black and in a flat top cut. The 104th Battalion, led by Wolffe in the Clone Wars, was nicknamed the Wolfpack and it is that iconography that we see as decals on the figures shoulder armour panels.
Wolffe is an exclusive release, and is therefore not numbered. The figure is assigned to Gamestop in the US, but is a shared exclusive outside of the US available via most independent stockists. Ours was supplied by Kapow Toys. While there is no number, the figure carries all the same other traits as the standard phase 3 line with red side spine and red lettering for the character name.
The body for Wolffe is that of a standard Clone Trooper, a figure base we've had since 2014. There are a couple of changes to the standard body with the figure using a left shoulder panel with antenna. This is similar to the one used on Commander Cody, but it sits more flush to the armour and is painted the same grey. The other change is the addition of the Kama skirt and the holstered belt both are taken from Captain Rex although the kama is trimmed now in a dark grey. While the armour is very crisp and clean, there have been some effort made to weather the figure with mud splashes added to the chest and arms - yet not on the legs or the feet.
Articulation remains exactly as it was in 2014 when the Clonetrooper body was released. It has a ball jointed head and a ball joint in the chest to allow the torso to swivel and lean forward and backwards. The arms are ball jointed at the shoulder, but the movement is restricted as you can't raise the arms by much as the shoulder panels block the movement. There is a bicep swivel, double jointed elbows and a pivot wrist.
When not in use the blasters fit neatly into the belt holsters. Once inserted they hold in place, and with no paint applied to either belt or blaster there is no risk of paint rub.
Legs are similarly restricted by the armour at the hips which are ball jointed, but unable to be moved much. The knees are double jointed and the figure ends in ankle rockers and is absolutely no problem standing or posing.
Wolffe comes with his Phase 2 BARC helmet which is also decorated with the Wolfpack designs. It also has a central red panel above the visors and yellow markings to one side. The helmet is also weathered with mud splash effects painted predominantly on the left side as you look at the figure.
Wolffe uses the pair of blasters that were packed with the Rex figure. They are cast in a black plastic with some detail apparent, but no paint apps at all to bring it out.
Wolffe comes with a rangefinder on the side of the helmet, and this is articulated so it can be swung down over the visor.
The right hand of Wolffe takes the blaster really well, with a flexi trigger finger. The left hand was never designed to hold the grip of a blaster and Hasbro have not replaced this (they didn't on Rex either) so while it does hold the weapon it looks a bit half hearted as though Wolffe is about to pass the blaster to someone else.
Rex suffered from a visual skin line when his helmet was on, but this seems to have been addressed with Wolffe. Weather this is because the neck line has been painted higher, or the helmet is naturally bigger it is good to see. I do also like that we now have the parts for both BARC and ARC troopers in the line and wonder how long it will be till we get some more Clone variants.
These Clonetrooper variants are becoming an annual exclusive now and with the basic figure already sculpted it is both an easy option for Hasbro, while playing to fans of the Clone Wars and Prequel films. Wolffe wasn't a character that was high on a lot of lists for figures but once announced it has been highly sought after with early pre-orders in the UK at least selling out. The figure doesn't do a lot wrong. It does suffer from the articulation issues of the Clonetrooper body, as has been the case since it was released in 2014. The head sculpt is glorious and not just a repaint of Rex - it has its own personality and look. The BARC helmet is another nice nod to keep Wolffe screen accurate and this fits neatly on the head. The weathering perhaps doesn't go far enough to be realistic, but that is nitpicking really and I score Clone Commander Wolffe a strong 4 out of 5. Now all he needs is some Wolfpack troopers for him to lead into battle.
