Thrive works with your healthcare team to order the lab workup that will find the root of the problem, whether you want to lose weight, have more energy or eat to address a specific health issue. Come Thrive with us.

Kimberly Mullek, owner of Thrive Health & Wellness Coaching, is also a Nutrition Coach, Fast Metabolism Coach and Personal Trainer and lives in Baldwin County with her two children. She is passionate about healthy living in her own life and sharing her passion with others. When she isn’t working, you can find her on the beach or on a boat.

“When we provide our bodies with the right food, which is information, then our bodies will function at their highest level of information,” says Mullek explaining that food programs your biology for better or for worse.

Metabolic pathways are the result of biochemical decisions. These pathways tell the body what to do with sugar, protein, fat, carbohydrates and how to detox.

Thrive focuses on repairing metabolic pathways and restoring metabolic function. Metabolism is your rate of converting food into energy. Instead of counting calories, Mullek focuses on nutritional quality over quantity and different food combinations to target specific issues.

Thrive Health & Wellness coaching provides food programs that address gastrointestinal dysfunction (e.g., IBS or indigestion), low energy and fatigue, hormonal dysfunction (perimenopause, menopause, PMS), high cholesterol or other impaired lipid metabolism, mood changes and cognitive challenges, blood sugar issues (diabetes or prediabetes) and autoimmune disorders. DONNARAE LOWTHER OWNER, COOKING COACH Down To Earth Connections, LLC Hydroponic Produce & Healthy Cooking Workshops

Learn a sustainable lifestyle with hydroponic growing and cooking. Lessen your ‘foodprint’ on Earth. Workshops use fresh hydroponic herbs and vegetables and demonstrate how to make your own countertop hydroponic/microgreen unit. Group coaching and private in-home coaching available.

Donnarae Lowther is a married mother of three, an artist, food coach and hydroponic grower.

In October 2021, Lowther’s husband had a widow maker heart attack, but CPR, AED and four stents later, he went home to recover and learn a new lifestyle. The idea of teaching others about healthy foods was born.

Lowther had been a chef for 30 years, cooking in private establishments that require special medical dietary needs. In her new venture, she first reached out to neighbors and asked about their food needs. Then she started cooking in private homes. She grew her own foods and shared her delicious vegetables and herbs with her neighbors.

Eventually, Lowther created workshops so that people could experience hands-on cooking for their health. Workshops can hold 4 to 12 people. They start with eating a prepared four-course meal and get to know each other. Participants then prepare a meal for two to cook at home. The workshop ends with a tour of the hydroponic nursery and learning how to make and grow your own hydroponic farm. Sustainable living tools are shown in each workshop. Lowther donates a meal to a family in need after each workshop. See ad, page 29.
